  1. Yeah, probably not. I likely just assumed the release dates would be the same, so certainly my fault for not investigating further.

It also looks like they treat 2xLPs as an LP and an extra item. My shipping charge was £6.50 for Long Drive.

Bummer. It said somewhere that doubles were counted as two, I ussually assume that. I didn't get a final quote yet but I estimated the Initial LP hit, then three LP bumps and two smaller bumps for the 7"s. You're still saving majorly over banquet.

  2. FYI to anyone who ordered the UK versions from Piccadilly, it looks Long Drive is in stock before LCW and they shipped it separately (i.e. double US shipping charge). Not happy about that....

If you ordered both and they haven't shipped, you might want to tell them to hold until both are in.

There's a check box during checkout that say hold untill everything is in stock to ship, did you check that?

  3. I would've gotten a black set and been overjoyed, if not for the shipping from Piccadiliy. Banquet is just too much. And my white whale came up for air at the beggining of the week, Neon Piss's Demo as an 8" mono lathe handcut clear vinyl /30 (sorry, had to share)...I havent spent this much on vinyl in a while.

These MM albums are kind of white whales too. These are the two albums that I've wanted to own, the longest. Never put any effort into it at $350 a pop though. I'm gonna freak out when I'm walking home from the the post office with these in my hand.

  4. Not sure if it works on amazon.com but it should. On amazon.ca you can place a preorder without having the full purchase amount on your card. I'm thinking they run it just so much to see if it's valid not checking if the entire amount is available. They don't charge you until it ships. I know newbury doesn't charge until it ships either so I tried it just in case, so I could reserve my copies. The only difference with my card between the times I've done it on amazon and last night is that my card card is a bit over the limit. There could be a bazillion different reasons on their end though.

If anyone wants to try this on newberry, I'd be very appreciative if you'd grab me a copy. I'll mail you records from my trade list or Paypal you cash before it ships...or whatever equivalent works for you.

  5. Yeah i was pretty bummed on that myself. But I also decided that though I want them both (especially Long Drive), I already ordered from GP and black is fine with me. Just me though.

I prefer limited color and I know that I'll end up with them at some point, but these two albums are the only records I can think of(other than ATDI's Acrobatic Tenement, that came two years ago) that I've wanted to own, longer than I've been a variant buff. in a lot a cases I'll hold out but on release, these will be spinning all day long in my living room regardless of color. And I will have no problem owning two copies of each. And being part Oregonian, It would actually be wrong for me, not to order these from Glacial Pace.

I even tried the Amazon trick on newberry last night, It wouldn't work but my card is $10 over the limit so that might have been what stopped it.

So both albums and the two 7"s just showed up on the sales-system I'm working with in a record store and it shows two variants for each album. One black, one colored, without any further specifications. I haven't yet read anything about an exclusive EU-variant, but that is what it seems to be. Street date is November 7th over here.

I just checked one of my info sources, sometimes The EU releases get shared with Canada. It's only updated to the 28th with one unspecified variant , standard I'd guess and under Fat Possum only and White Lies...as a CD, no 7". Could be a typo or a clue. And every time something seems like a typo with this source it's not. Has anyone heard of the new 7"s being released as CD's? apologies if this is old news, but it makes think that the 7"s are one timers possibly...

  6. Hey Andy, Get over it and get lost. You ran your mouth but youre too fragile to handle a response in turn. You cried to your friends and gathered a crew to repeatedly harass and bully me. Unfortunately they are just as fragile as you. I can understand your bitterness just as much as I do your arrogance but you have to realize that not everybody is going take your mouth or be intimidated by you or your friends endless amount of free time, resulting in a high post count. It doesn't equal experience, wit or self respect. You and your friends have made it clear that you're not interested in the music I listen to or the records I collect. I'm perfectly content with that, I just wish you could be to. There's no reason for you or your crew to continue to post in my sales thread. Go find someone else that's seeking your approval to harass and badger. Better yet, take some alone time and try to figure out why you feel the need to step on people you don't know for no reason other than a difference in musical tastes. Hopefully, It might start to make sense to you, why someone won't allow you to run your mouth at them without a response. I'd bet the cash value of every record I own that you don't walk around Baltimore running your mouth like that to strangers. It's probably the exact reason you do it here.

Negative post me, run your mouth...But I hope you've realized that It doesn't matter to me and the longer you continue, the more you lose. I'm just selling some records.

And Like I said, I'll still sell yous records, I'll even let you save face and not tell anyone about the change of heart. and they'll still be packed with the highest standards.
