  1. i'm not a crazy Bouncing Souls fan, I like them a lot but I've loved that album since it came out and looked into whether it was on color recently as part of my, "You're a stupid ass for not having that on vinyl" series I'm doing. The Neglected Classics. And red sounds good to me! Pennywise - S/T on blue! That sounds almost as perfect as Pennywise - S/T on translucent blue! I'd be pretty happy if they followed it up with Unknown Road, About Time and Full Circle. Their new album is fairly listenable, I'm was very surprised. Clear vinyl looks good with pretty much everything but I've got a 2009 gold ribbed, so I'm good there. And I don't even really know No Control too well, for no reason really. But that's good news to hear, It adds hope to A Recipe For Hate on color eventually. Or does it? They put No Control on green in 09. Any reason Recipe hasn't gotten color yet? And I second Rev with some color!
  2. Same here, 400 or so of those plays are mine. Awesome stuff...the guitar lick at 1.25 is sweet, or is it a keyboard? And the harmonization at the end is haunting to say the least. They are the dark choir. Edit/Addition - I'd split hairs just to know which brown looks better. I'm sure I'll be buying some more in the future. But I like the deliberately interesting ones, split color, top/bottom split color, smokey, translucent, cow spotted...
  3. I didn't even think about that but I assumed from his ebay feedback numbers that there would be several people working the Barn. If that's all him, he's got no time for anything and he gets even more props than before. I wasn't impatient about it, He got back to me super quick the first time and then vanished. I let it go figuring the non- response and whacked details added up to a bootleg or the like. I'm very happy to avoid that when all things seem to point in one direction. How long has he had these? And is this common knowledge to Nirvana people on the board, What.uk having color Nirvana? I haven't been collecting for a few years so I wouldn't be surprised but I didn't run into anything on here while digging. Phoenix is pumped about the news so mission accomplished in my book. I wish 10-15 pounds sounded familiar to me, I could use that all the time. I'm gonna drop this guy a note and make sure he knows he's awesome. It's good to hear other positive reviews. What.UK is on my lists. Edit, typo
  4. I read a few reviews about him and they were all bad. Records not showing up, dogging calls not responding to emails. The typical horror stories. What made me really dumb here(I was paying through PalPal so I would been covered), I messaged and asked if they were in stock, he replied yeah and then I ask about the stickering to narrow down weather they were Simply vinyl, Original Recordings Group or ORG Music. With no response. Then a few days latter I found his ebay store while checking prices on Nirvana vinyl. They were up as buy it nows for 40 and 45 pounds. The pictures in the auctions were the fist press and he had awesome feedback. It seemed sketchy enough to be a little exciting and since he was selling them at those prices he might have been annoyed at being second guessed. These sound amazing and deserve the praise I've read ever where. I think I'm going to go for the In utero BFRSD. I'm down with the 2013 Albini mix. I hope their stamped like the Insecticides.
  5. Brown added to my single out red preorder! Painful tease but thanks for bringing another variant with it. I got The Sun...LP on clear smoke in the mail yesterday. It's without a doubt the best dressed record in my collection And I just found out that, I mean you can tell by listening, that there are separate masters done for the vinyl and digital. The vinyl sounds very different, without a doubt just good, if not better. I haven't spent enough time with the record yet. It sounds like they do that with all of their releases, not sure though but it adds a whole another level to an already weird band. And they're all in other awesome band too. The Creeps are dope. And the lyrics for the Perhaps...LP are posted in their band camp; http://crusades666.bandcamp.com/releases
  6. In all the searching I did people said they were spendy but nobody mentioned the price and all the links were long gone. ORG has them for $35.00 each for the 2nd press Unplugged and the only insecticide press. Normally I'd consider that crazy but for some reason, concerning these I feel it's worth it. I'm not sure why. But I also don't know why I've never owned a Nirvana record until today.
  7. So I took a leap of faith. Read some bad reviews of this place and personally got a bad vibe from the product descriptions. They advertise them as Record Store Day left overs and have a release date for 2011 and state the label as Geffen, They're wrong. They also say that they are "expected in shortly." They are in stock. Being the stupid human that I am I went for it anyway. I actually had a bit of evidence that they were the first pressings And I didn't really care weather they were the first or second, just as long as they were one of either Original Recordings Group or ORG Music with preference for the first press. Thankfully, It paid off and now maybe it'll help you too. If anyone is looking to pick up the first pressings of Nirvana's "Original Recordings Group" LP's pressed at RTI, (not the second pressing done by "ORG Music" that were pressed in Germany) this includes the cream yellow In Utero, They're available here; http://www.whatrecords.co.uk/search.asp?artist=nirvana&title=&format=&catalogue=&submit.x=-482&submit.y=-320 They aren't cheap but I don't think they ever were. I bought all three and shipped from the UK to Vancouver, B.C. it worked out to be about $55USD each. They arrived sealed, in perfect condition and beautifully packed. If this helps you out, you're welcome! Does anyone that bought these in 2009 happen to remember what they originally went for? $30-$35ish???
  8. I haven't heard any of them, I've read complaints about Puppets but that's it. I'm not completely sure how there widely regarded just saying that if the masters were good they would be number one on my list. From Discogs info these seem to be the only 45 cuts but I didn't pick up on the switch from half speed after Puppets from their info. Things are real loose up in that joint. AJFA and TBA are good, Puppets is out and a slightly mixed bag on kill 'em and Lightning.
  9. It was on their facebook yesterday. I was hoping for something for fest but wasn't expecting new material. It's a nice surprise.
  10. I've been looking into this recently, as well. I haven't listened to them but as long the remaster was good, witch seems to be the case, the "45RPM Series" seem to be the best. I think it's the same 1/2 speed remaster as the one you posted just cut at 45. They're going for $45 + shipping.
  11. http://www.altpress.com/features/entry/song_premiere_white_wives_yours Two color in color variants /250, blue in black, yellow black w/hand screened sleeves, made on a porch, while watching the leaves change. "...marking a new musical chapter for the group." And they're starting it off with a Self Titled 7". Sounds like the members may be more focused on the White Wives project. This group is amazing but I get a general "blah" vibe from reading older threads about them. Am I right and if so, what gives? They're playing Feast and they're an intense act the watch but don't get too close, they'll make you buy a limited art print! Actually, get the print, i'll pay you for it and the shipping and a bit on top as a thank you.
  12. I'm in Vancouver and from the states I expect shipping to start at about $8-10 for the first 7" or $15.00 for the first LP. I've used the calculator to compare with what I'm charged and it's $13.93 or something. A buck plus the change from online/commercial shipping discounts is fair for packing time and supplies. I actually got a single LP shipped last week for $11.00. I'm not sure how that was done, no tracking probably.
  13. Hey Var, I got a place holder zip with a Crusades solo order. If that helps at all. I need to add the other ones, I'd be silly not to. I had different plans for my vinyl money yesterday and that threw me for a loop I just stumbled on Crusades through Bandcamp last week. I couldn't imagine trying to tell people about them for two years to no avail. Hudson, do you have either of the color variants for the first LP? I'm trying to figure out a little detail about the pressing info on it. So I dug through "internet crates" looking for their other records. If anyone wants to pick up the first LP on the two limited colors, Smoked Clear and Smoked Red, both /200. No Breaks Records in The States said he had 5 left as of yesterday. The distro, distro prices and shipping charges are awesome, http://www.nobreaksrecords.com/12-vinyl The band has some clear LP's in their store but spendy shipping, $25US ppd for the LP in North America. http://crusades666.bigcartel.com/ There's red ones at Hardware Records in Germany. Hardware is one of the four labels that put out the record. http://www.hardware-records.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1017 The limited grey swirl /200 version of the most recent 7", Parables is still available from It's Alive! Records, They have a bundle with a shirt for $10+shipping. Awesome shirt, no brainier. http://www.itsaliverecords.com/store.htm There's a few more that I couldn't find but as an FYI there's a Euro version of Parables, clear /200 And the S/T EP. North American press /300 all black and euro /100, white and they had different cover art. Hope that helps. ***Edit - You can still get the S/T EP /100, white from this store on discogs. I bought one yesterday, assuming there was only one. Guess not but they uped the price a bit. http://www.discogs.com/buy/Vinyl/Crusades-Crusades/121832618?ev=bp_titl
  14. They blew me away. I didn't think I'd hear anything that gave Neon Piss a run for their money for quite a while.
  15. If you don't buy the Crusades LP, you will be sacrificed! http://store.noidearecords.com/
  16. http://sexbeatlondon.com/2013/10/02/white-lung-songs-of-the-south-7-sexbeat-020/ They have a song streaming there too. White Lung is switching up the guitar and vocals, bringing it back to Doomtown a bit. And it sounds like sexbeat does some cool stuff with their releases.
