  1. I was told by Silva Screen that they are probably pressing more due to high demand.
  2. There are mixing information about the pressing numbers. At first some shops said Batman Begins was limited only to 500, but I think Silva Screen raised the number to 1000 after pre-order numbers came in. That's what I read from some record shop. Can't remember which one was it. Juno, where I bought it from, still states that it's only 500 to worldwide, though. Nevertheless, they are all orange. Black version was pressed two years ago.
  3. This new pressing are all orange. I was lucky enough to grab a copy from Juno for 35 euros including shipping to Finland. Do you have the black one too?
  4. Appearently Silva Screen is about to release Terminator 2: Judgement Day. http://www.banquetrecords.com/SILLP1337 At least packaging looks gorgeous.
  5. You were already able to grab a copy of this? I thought the official release date was 9th of june.
  6. Music On Vinyl keeps releasing scores from blockbuster movies; John Ottman's score to X-Men is coming on vinyl: http://modern-vinyl.com/2014/05/23/days-of-future-past-vinyl-being-teased/
  7. It seems like Milan records is going to release Max Richter's score to The Congress on vinyl: http://store.acousticsounds.com/d/97610/Max_Richter-The_Congress_Original_Soundtrack-Vinyl_Record
  8. Music On Vinyl has revealed Godzilla details: http://www.musiconvinyl.com/catalog/original-soundtrack/godzilla#more Release date is set to 9. of june.
  9. Maybe I was a little hasty while answering yesterday. Re-selling value is definitely not a determining factor when purchasing records. There aren't even that many rare records in the soundtrack genre that it would make so much sense (I collect scores).
  10. I'm not buying records based on re-selling value. I'm collecting scores and buying everything that sounds good.
  11. They are advertising to people that some item is available for a limited amount. Of course they should stick with it.
  12. I think labels should stick with what they first tell to customers. I think vinyl is only music format that still have re-selling value. Some of us are considering that perspective also. And I'm no flipper.
  13. I wonder why record labels wants to put item on pre-sale, if they already have an idea how many are going to be pressed. In this particular case it seems like a fraud to those who already ordered and thought, that Batman Begins is limited to 500.
  14. 500 units also, at least according to Norman: http://www.normanrecords.com/records/147526-hans-zimmer-and-james-newton-batman-begins-music-from-the
  15. Yes, you're right. This is going to happen. I just received confirmation via mail from MOV.
  16. I hope this rumour appears to be true. It would be good to have some blockbuster Hollywood scores on vinyl for a change: http://modern-vinyl.com/2014/05/02/music-on-vinyl-teases-godzilla-release/
  17. Well, I sent them e-mail again, asking whether Noah will be released on vinyl. Would love to have this and Gravity on my shelf.
  18. That's strange. I contacted Nonesuch about a week ago or two. I asked about their vinyl soundtrack releases later this year and specifically asked about Noah. They stated that there are no plans to release Noah nor other soundtracks on vinyl. But will be happy if this will eventually happen. Maybe I should contact Nonesuch again and ask about their comment on the matter.
