I know warped isn't the holy grail of touring BUT it pays better than Target and looks good on a resume. I just wanna be back on the road, honestly

I just sent off a warped tour job application! One of a few I plan on sending out. I had more trouble e-mailing my internship boss about the fact that I'm even applying, than I'll have telling target I have to take a leave if I get a position. I love the company I work for and I know they have great goals for the future, so it sucks that if I get this I probably can't help at all. I also know the owner isn't big on Warped Tour and didn't really want any of us to apply, but the pay is too great to pass up.

I'm in love with you. It's definitely a weird balance. I know that I'm a hard person to handle and I have a lot of expectations. I think I get really overwhelming because when I don't like something, I am very vocal about it and expect things to change, I think it emotionally exhausts him a lot but he's a very incredible person and i want him in my life for the long term. It definitly feels like long distance dating, at least emotionally, so I see where you're coming from. It's hard when the other person doesn't fully understand what they want and you do. We're just very very different personality types that generally do not have close relationships. So it's going to a be a lot of compromise for us to make even a friendship work. I've already adjusted a lot of myself to fit his schedule, so he needs to learn to do the same.

Bruce's new nail color is so good. I am also jealous of your new jeans. As for what happened, basically he agreed that we should schedule time to talk. But then made the mistake of very poorly explaining his lack of communication and used phrases like "I don't even talk to my other friends every day" and "I only text you every day because I know it makes you happy and I know you're going through some rough stuff right now." Which was really offensive and I was like YO don't tell me you talk to me for me. Text me every day because it makes YOU happy, not because you feel like you have to. I don't want to be an obligation. Blah blah blah. It just blew up, basically. So we'll see where it goes. Im sure it'll be fine.

Tried to post this during the great VC blackout: Thank you guys. I thought I had a really good chance at winning it, but less and less people are voting every day so I don't think I'll make it. It goes to the 9th too and a girl that started today is less than 100 behind me. Kinda bummed but you guys have been so awesome and that's what matters. Also got in a fight with the boy so that was shit. I know it's all stupid problems that won't matter in a week, but it's a bummer while it's happening. Update: I feel better today but my competition is still gaining

Meanwhile my biggest issue is that I can't figure out if a boy likes me and that my competition is gaining on me in that contest.

We've skyped before and usually used to call each other multiple times a week, but now that he's moved home he's just really busy. So I think as long as Im like "hey, we should schedule time to actually talk once and awhile" it should be okay. And yeah I need to ask for the address. So strange. I don't think he booked the show so he's just as lost.

Speaking of Philly, does anyone know a venue called The Penthouse? All we can find is a strip club but that's where he's playing ahahahahahahha

Life would be so much easier if he was even in the same state.He's in Maine. I'll see him at the end of February though because he's touring in Philly.

Hey genuine question that belongs in Man Advice thread but if I post it there someone will yell at me for having elementary school problems: Obviously there's this dude boy in my life that I care about a lot. He just moved back home and has been settling back with friends and stuff, he still manages to shoot me a text or two every day to check in but I'm kinda a stickler for communication, like that's my THING. I'd like to think Im chill and understanding, but do you think it's too much to ask if he like just schedules sometime at least once a week to just like call or Skype me? We're not dating or anything so I don't want to be like PAY ATTENTION TO ME AND TELL ME IM PRETTY 24/7. But at the same time, I'd like to still have some sort of solid communication and not just scattered, short conversations. I'm also really used to handling kind distance friendships and I don't think he is, so maybe it is something I need to talk to him about?
