Went to the Chicago show last night.  Was very let down by Saves The Day.  About 20 minutes of their set was just a noisy jam session of nothing between songs, and no one in the band even seemed to be excited to be there.  Definitely a weird vibe.

I searched for a thread about Black Metal and all things related, and came up with nothing.  If I'm blind and there is one that exists already, my bad.

Anyway, what has everyone been listening to lately?  I've been on a HUGE Weakling kick as of late.  Seems to happen once winter arrives every year.  I also saw Yellow Eyes and Anicon the other night and they were great.

Any recommendations on any bands (new or old) would be welcomed and appreciated!

If you still need one, I'm sure I could set one aside for you (if you'll be in Milwaukee anytime soon).  I worked until 5:30 today, and we hadn't sold a single copy by the time I left, so we still have five as far as I know.

What a joke. I just found out that my local shop which is a fairly large store is only getting one copy! We're all fucked.

Yeah, these got allocated pretty heavily.  We wishfully ordered ten copies at the shop I work at and ended up getting sent three.

Found a copy of Boys Night Out - Trainwreck for $13 at hot topic today!

Found my copy at a Hot Topic a while back as well.  They gave me the "buy one, get one 50% off" deal on the records I bought (even though I don't think they were supposed to) and I ended up paying a little over $6 for it.

Weakling "Dead As Dreams" at the moment.  Been listening to that album a lot lately, and would love to own it.

Anyone receive their copies yet?  Looking forward to seeing the silk-screened cover in person.

I have not read through this thread to see if it has been mentioned, but I would love a Dead To Fall "Villainy & Virtue" vinyl pressing.

Haven't gotten mine yet, but I'm hoping to get it tomorrow.  Can't wait to spin this.

Don't mean to spam but I felt this one merits another post. Got it in the mail today, packaged up tight and secure. In as close to mint condition as an opened, used item can get. Got it for a fairly decent price, too. Happy to finally have it!!!

Finally read through this thread.  A lot of great recommendations.  I've only recently gotten into jazz, and I've been finding some great stuff over the past couple of months.  It took me a while to get into jazz because I was almost intimidated by the sheer amount of music that is out there.  Glad that I'm finally diving into it now.  I've started by listening to old Blue Note, Prestige and Verve releases, but I have a lot more to check out yet.

Here are some of my favorite records that I've gotten over the past couple months.  I definitely want to look more into Black Jazz Records releases.  That Calvin Keys record is great.  I've definitely found that my favorite jazz records have been the ones that revolve heavily around jazz guitar (Grant Green, Calvin Keys, Kenny Burrell, etc) so I'm looking forward to checking out more stuff like that.

I get his point to an extent.  More importantly, he definitely could have made his point in a less childish way.  The guy who was stage-diving was obviously someone who was pretty into Joyce Manor, and to bring a fan up on stage and humiliate him like that is obnoxious.

Catching the current tour in Chicago tomorrow and I can't wait.  Anyone who's gone recently know what the merch situation is like and if they are selling out of sizes of anything?
