Thanks. Yeah I'm thinking the same.. 5% is a lame offer (will check to see if they meant 50%). I will see if they have the postage printed on the front, but most packages I receive from the US don't have the postage listed on the front sticker only on the invoice.

I got a reply back from Hot Topic. I can either do 'return to sender' or "If you wish to keep the LP we can do a one time exception and issue a credit for 5% off of the shipping cost." (thats about $2 off the shipping cost). Should I take it or leave it?

Thanks for the tip, will do that. Checked the time on the emails from HT and the 'out of stock' and 'shipped' email was sent within 10 mins of each other.

heheh yeah it does suck.. melbs has great live music, crap record stores (well for what I like anyway!). Gone are the old days of bands like Cut Sick doing in-store shows at Missing Link! EDIT: Looks like Descendents, Bouncing Souls, Pennywise, Millincolin are up on HT. Here we go again!

The order shipped already by the time I checked my email this afternoon. I did want Heavy Petting Zoo in red though... just paid a very heavy price for it. Missing Link since they moved have only a tiny range and Polyester have hardly any punk records any more. Last time I tried to do a special order they made a fuss. Basically Heartland Records and Poison City and even then its marginal. Ritual Music was the best, but its now closed

Just got an email from Hot Topic. Despite ordering Out Come The Wolves on 2nd April, its just gone through as out of stock. So that means Heavy Petting Zoo cost $41.50 just for shipping instead of spreading the same shipping cost over 2 records. $64 for 1 record. lol. I hope it ends up being worth that much in the future!

Did the order for Ribbed and Rancid Let's Go but man do Hot Topic make it hard to do an international order! No international paypal accepted and had to do some verbal confirmation rubbish after i did the order online and spend 20 minutes on hold calling an international number. I've ordered before from HT and i've not had to do this. The thing that worries me is the other upcoming releases might sell out quicker and by the time they get round to sending me an email requiring confirmation it might have sold out. UPS shipped my Kings Road order, but the delivery contractor mustn't have felt like delivering it: "Consignee will not accept delivery of a package during a certain time period." Was home all day - would have gladly accepted the package! Thought Australia Post was the only one that had lazy contractors.

Reluctantly added to cart..I can't believe that shipping x4 LP's + x1 7" to Australia costs $70. Painful.

Ordered the lot... shipping cost $110US...lucky I don't have a girlfriend

Last vinyl for the year arrived.. Razorcut, Marching Orders (both local) / Evil Conduct, Old Firm/Evil Conduct Bad Religion blue bundle (took ages to arrive)

Mine is just in crates and record cases alphabetically by band. Gets a bit hectic when its time for a sort.

Did anyone else get International Superhits with warped wax? Half of each side is unplayable.. No marks at all on the cover or the package, so must be a fault in the press
