I've been hearing this sudden, intermittent humming whenever I play my Crash Test Dummies record.

Rega RP6 with Ortofon 2M Black... quite possible heypeterman is who sold it to me, and did the complete setup as well
I am very happy with it! This was an upgrade from a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon with the 2M Blue. Next will be the phono-pre for sure, currently running a Cambridge Azur 551P.

Man I wish I had read this yesterday! I had a 2M Red on my Debut Carbon and went out and purchased the 2M Blue... then spent a good three hours swapping them and trying to get it aligned properly. Are you seriously saying all I had to do was swap the stylus unit? Hahaha
For the record, the Blue sounds amazing! Now I just need to upgrade my Polk Audio TSi200's

Setup complete! Getting the placement just right took awhile since they are physically smaller than the Polk's. They sound great though, bass is perfect and Norah's voice sounds amazing!
