  1. I got my copies of TNWWL and Sharpen Your Teeth in yesterday and they do indeed both sound great. The TNWWL is a lemon-creme vinyl - if you will and has a circular sticker in the upper right hand corner that says "Colored Vinyl Back In Print" so it should be really easy to tell which version you have to avaoid the opening scandal i just read about a few pages back - ha ha. The inner sleeve is a thin cardboard - brownish red color (solid - no hole in the middle) with no markings (og pressing was just a plain white sleeve with the center hole). No Insert except download card. I LOVE the UP Records labels like others have talked about - so damn cool. The Ugly Casanova packaging is gatefold - with plastic inner sleeves - marbled grayish vinyl on the first LP, marbled whitish vinyl on 2nd lp - i am not doing these color descriptions any justice - just do a hashtag search on instagram search with either band name and you can see. I love having the bonus tracks as my 7" records with those songs are long gone. It has a small two sided insert with lyrics and art - credits are on the inner gatefold portion. I saw BTS in KC a couple of weeks back and they were of course the best - the song 'DONE' sounded absolutely incredible live. I was speaking with Doug after the show and asked about the TNWWL pressing - he had no idea there was a creme version and said he wasn't consulted really on it but had his blessing. He wasn't bummed - actually sounded happy about it as he knew people were paying ridiculous prices for og copies and said that Sub Pop did actually have the original masters. He is always really nice as I'm sure most of you know. I'm happy to put my OG copy to rest in my collection and just play this one and maybe buy a backup copy - ha ha.
  2. I love my local shop and spend plenty of money there but a few others around me charge over list so they don't get my business. I order online often as well when i fear something going out of print or over 30% less than in the store. I already told told my local store that I would never buy an import from them (especially Music On Vinyl label) because they have to charge $35 - $40 for a single disc and $45 - $50 for 2LP when I can get them shipped for around $22 online and she understands that - she still gets a few in because some people buy them from her. Plus I'm not really huge on people telling me how to spend my money - I am thoughtful enough about it on my own without outside input. I'm just saying i understand going online in certain situations.
  3. I just got my copy of the Ancient Melodies of The Future reissue of Music On Vinyl and I think it sounds great - happy to have it. They even included the poster! It's not quite newsprint - it's almost like rice paper or something - I geeked out a bit when I saw that. This completed my BTS full album collection. Good day indeed, can't wait for the new record.
  4. To those asking why TNWWL hasn't been repressed it's what was once UP (now defunct) has the masters - it's one guy actually (not the original founder of the company) and he either doesn't care enough or is just sitting on them. A lot of the bands aren't happy. Modest Mouse's Lonesome Crowded West and Long Drive reissues (which thankfully sound excellent) took forever because the band basically had to recreate the vinyl masters. As far as that BTS PFNO - Thailand Tape - it is totally legit - I used to work in the WB Records International Department in the late 90s and cassettes at that time were still the top selling format in a few smaller Asian countries - I couldn't believe it - I did see the art for the packaging float by my desk though. BTS were my favorite band then and are still my favorite band now. I have a signed copy of TNWWL on vinyl and it is my favorite record I own - PFNO is still slightly better in my opinion because it is the best album ever, but it's not better by much, instantly making TNNWL a top 5 album of all time too

  6. I have a copy of the the Primus hardcover book To Defy The Laws of Tradition that is signed by Les Claypool and the photographer (they should all be signed) and is limited to 2,500 copies, this also came with a limited edition artist proof 8x 10 autographed to 200 and is signed by Les and the phototgrapher and is numbered to 200. My understanding is that these all didn't have a signed proof - most had one signed by just the photographer. It comes in a hard clamshell box. I am entertaining offers - it's heavy so i would ask you to consider about $10.00 shipping in your offer. I can email pictures no problem. I also have a sealed copy of Mock Orange's Disguised As Ghosts album which wa slimited to 100 copies on green vinyl. Taking offers on that. I have a repress of Mock Orange's Nine's & Sixes on red and clear vinyl - played once - will sell shipped for $22
