Been playing through the original Spyro trilogy 100%ing it through the PS classics version on the PSN.

 

100%ed the first a week or two ago and im about halfway through the second. They really hold up too.

This is a band that was formed when I was in high school and one of my friends was in it. He isn't anymore.

 

This was the first music video they made a couple of years ago.

I don't really like the song myself. But they're going for this poppy/ska sound which is at least a little interesting. The singer is kind of a douche. I went camping once with a bunch of my friends and we had a fire going and he showed up from some other campsite with sandals, ripped up jeans, and an acoustic guitar, not kidding.

 

They have changed band members quite a bit since. And the singer posted a picture of a mountain of money on facebook with the comment being "this is why i make music"

I didn't really like them in the first place. But at least it seemed like they weren't being the MOST generic lame ass band in the world. But I think that's changed.

 

Oh and since that music video I guess they've got a new drummer.

 

It's probably a dick move for me to be bashing someone following their dreams. But...I just.... I fucking hate them. Oh and I've been neighbours with the singer for the last 8 months. So I get to hear them practice this song over and over again. That might be helping this.

What do you guys use to display the sleeve of a record as you play it?

 

I find a flat surface parallel to the Earth, and then I look for a spot with another surface running perpendicular to it.  I then place the top of the record against the perpendicular surface with the bottom against the parallel surface. So that the  line formed running from the top of the sleeve to the bottom of the sleeve form an angle of approximately 25 degrees to the parallel surface.

 

I lean it...on a shelf...up against a wall.

The shipping being discussed is for Vault 19. They're being extremely slow with this one, most people think it is due to RSD. I got mine like two months ago now or something lol

I really want to get all of Klaatu's albums. I was just reading about the interesting rumours where people thought they were an anonymous side project of The Beatles and that helped drive sales of their albums.

Eh, I only bought the Patti Smith Lp because I found it super cheap. Not exactly what I like to listen to.

The best part is that there are four different sets of picture discs. I don't know if there are 1,000 of each or 250 of each for a total of 1,000, but having #8 seems pretty cool to me. My images are, from side A to D, the Spiderman 3 logo (black), Spidey hanging upside-down looking into a window, Harry Osborne's kid, and then Spiderman in the Venom suit looking very majestic. 

 

Something deep inside of me wants the other three sets... and I have no idea why. 

 

Because it's so random and that would make it so awesome.

 

Sounds like you got cool images. There is one of the four versions on discogs. But it's not the one you have.

I gave up because playing through it more than once was boring It was really fun playing through it again once though! Not too hard of a plat either. Just takes a while.

Today I bought the double picture-disc Spider-Man 3 soundtrack. It was $8 and it's numbered #8/1000, so I'm feeling pretty good about that purchase. I mean, the movie sucked, and they're picture discs, but they do look pretty cool.

 

You just put that on my wantlist. I want the soundtrack to this terrible terrible movie

Havent been collecting for long so I have no regrets about selling because I actually have never sold any of my records...but I do regret is not buying a copy of Matthew Good - Lights of Endangered Species when it was in print... My favourite album by him and I realize after I start collecting records that his records always go out of print once the next one comes out and he has never repressed anything... 

I can barely afford the single copies that I have.

Oh my lord I hate five finger death punch so much. That song "Battle Born" makes me want to tear my eyes out.

Already pre-ordered it through the Vault so I'm getting it. I don't hate the gimmicks. Some of them are cool. But I do wish they didn't tell us and left it for us to figure out ourselves. It'd be really fun
