Edit: Don't know if this has been mentioned but the card with the bearded guy stated there would be a whole story being printed as Kamasi has written this album because of a dream and they are writing it out and that part is an excerpt of the story.

I work at a record store and thought I would get this in oct. so I was surprised it arrived so early.

I compared it to my digital source and it sounds more dynamic and open to my ears. I would say you are pretty safe to order this the sound is not at all compressed. Not that it's the best sounding record ever but as some people stated with the length of the record it could have been pretty bad but they did a stellar job on this one.

No the sound is pretty open and dynamic. I'll compare to my digital source tonight and report back to be sure.

I kind of don't dig this as much as their first. The track with the parody on a posh 16 year old chick is really lame and isn't funny after the first listen.

All I want to see is the guy to stop being weasley with his business tactics. If you aren't afraid of being shut down, stop the secret email club bullshit. Don't blacklist people who you don't like. Act like a professional. Make it legit. I just don't want to see another meltdown situation on this board where some guy tries to do too much, gets in way over his head and falls apart with everyone's money in limbo. If it takes me annoying the shit out of you to make sure you're a bit more legit about what you do, so be it. I have no interest in buying your records - this isn't personal.

Can't you read.Almost everything you point out has been answered a page back. There is NO money in limbo I already told you. It goes up pretty random and you order and the shipping is like almost instantly. How would you do this legit if you dont have a license, this is the safest way. It"s not super secret, if you follow this thread and do a little research you can find out where to contact him. I don't think people got banned just because he didn't like them, just a guess though. 

 

Rooks, the people that created the music get paid, just not the rights holders which usually are licensing groups that buy them or get them via deals/contracts the artist cant get out.

By running an illegitimate order service through Etsy selling bootlegged records? I don't even care about the legality or morality of the whole thing, I would just love it if some of you would recognize that you owe this dude nothing and he doesn't deserve your undying loyalty. You think if he gets a C&D letter tomorrow you'll ever see or hear from him again? You think you'll get a refund or see the records you've preordered?

My native language is not english, and I didn't want to put more effort/time in typing the charity and giving money to the composers thing but here we are. I know it's illegal but if the artist gets money I really don't care. He doesn't do preorders so we are not getting screwed. Publishing is most of the time pure shit, those deals are most of the time not benefitting the composer. These would never have been made if this guy didn't do it. You want us to get burned it seems for I don't know what reason.

Not a lot of people are defending his art. I kind of don't care, I just want the music (although that banksy one is pretty good).

Can't people just let people be happy that they get something they normally would never have. Also give the guy a break he is doing this as honest as he can, if you don't like it do it yourself or make yourself a cover. I don't like some stuff on other topics but I don't rain on other people's parade.

Looks pretty good. No info on cartridge though and at that price range maybe the build quality isn't all that.

That is nog the cover if you are referring tonthe Homer pikachu. Thats a placeholder he uses for every bootleg. I think he said he would make a couple of different covers for the test presses.

Good album. Pretty pricey though.

Could the reason Mondo is not shipping outside the US be because there will be Mad Max soundtrack released by Music On Vinyl for the European territories? 

Yeah I'm thinking something like that. Licensing for different territories. Still they could have communicated it. 

Saw the movie and Junkie XL did a good job. Helped the constant batshit crazyness happening but as someone before me said maybe not the best on record to just sit down and listen to.

That works vice versa as well though. You could be one of the lucky few with a good copy.

Mine is pretty noisy,a lot of Pops on the quiet parts. Manageable but weird as the record is clean and no scratches.
