  1. I placed an order from Bengans - has anyone in the U.S. had experience ordering from them before?

Just ordered from them as well. My credit card company declined it due to it being in Skandonavia, and then asked if it was actually me. Awesome. I haven't heard from Bengans yet, so I don't know if I have to fix something.

  2. I guess I just thought that's what they did. Several other prints I've bought from other companies appear to be sent out in order (maybe?) as I've gotten very low numbers when I purchased quickly. And when I've bought numbered prints in person I've always seen that they sell in order (not sure with Mondo). I guess maybe I hoped that part of the reason they took so long to ship was because they were honoring that system haha.

Honest question: what's the point of numbering them then?

Proof there is only that many. Also, I don't think very many companies SHIP that way. And I'd be willing to bet Mondo sells in order in person.

  3. They could run out, but again, they usually leave the listing up and when you click to add to cart, nothing happens. Wouldn't surprise me if they got hammered though as the other poster said. It's ine thing to press something that never came out after it's been out there for years, but to press a newer album like this seems a little more risky.

I doubt it was the getting "hammered." I bet they show back up. Maybe just a glitch or something.

  4. I love Nate and can't wait for this album. Kind of bummed I missed out on the bundle with the poster.

Time to go down a trip down memory lane. I grew up in the Phoenix, AZ area, and saw Nate and Sam all the time live, they were always one of my favorite bands. My single most memorable experience in music was being a 14 year old at a Something Corporate show that my girlfriend's older brother's band was one of the opening bands for, and so was The Format. Right before her brother's band went on we had a fight and broke up, so little emo me was out on the patio just distraught over the break up and two guys walked up to make sure I was ok. They sat down next to me, offered me a smoke and we got to chatting. It was Nate and Sam. Nicest guys ever, and so genuine. They both signed each side of my shoes, gave me some parting words of advice on teenage relationships and got up and walked inside to get ready for their set.

Almost skipped this post. Glad I didn't. Pretty cool story.

  5. Pretty sure I read in an interview that the new album draws a great deal of thematic influence from Metropolis, the late 20's german expressionist film. The artwork definitely seems to give off that vibe as well. Cult of Luna's last album was actually based upon the same film as well.

It is very similar, but typically they're almost identical.
