I bring you "Big Belly in Little China" from Bad Apple in Chicago.  Medium well, with grilled pineapple, bbq pork belly, on a pretzel bun.  Ah-May-ZING!!!

    Yuh! Get it, boi!

(That looks delicious! I'd probably pick the pineapple chunks off. I don't mind a little bit of pineapple flavoring, but it gets to be too much for me/I don't like the texture.)

  2. I'm now at 45 days without a cigarette. Like Martha Stewart says, "It's a good thing." Haha.

    Congrats!

Also, this is mostly for jotostardust, but some of you others in here might also care. Emailed Rise Above Records and they said... Electric Wizard's We Live and Let Us Prey "should" both be reissued on vinyl this year! I'm so exciteddddddddd.

  3. Alright. If we're really getting into this "American" issue:

The Americas are named for Amerigo Vespucci, the Italian explorer who first proved that Brazil and the "West Indies" were in fact not a part of Asia. He landed only in South America (four different times, mostly in Brazil I believe).

So...that is why I believe residents of the U.S.A. should be called U.S. citizens instead of Americans. Y'know, because citizens of other countries in N. and S. America are also citizens of the Americas, aka Americans.

I also don't undertand how anyone's age got called into question.

Wouldn't understand someone from the great commonwealth of Kentucky to understand. ;)

(See how I can call arbitrary things into consideration too?)

PS: I learned that in middle school, not college.

  4. Looks like I'm going to be able to take a couple weeks off work and do a roadtrip with my family up the west coast. I'm excited to go to Portland and Seattle. I just bought tickets to see Sharon Van Etten in San Francisco, PHOX in Portland, and The Antlers in Seattle.

Wooooo! That's super exciting! I love Portland so much.

  5. Finally did m tradelist on Dead Format!!! Have not added the 7"s yet. Man my collection did not look so small until I put it down in text.

I just added two more records to mine even though I told myself not to buy any more :(  If you hang out in the Stoner/Doom/Metal thread, we've been talking about Summoner a lot...Snagged both their records. I'm grounded.

  6. Put off buying those Summoner records for a while and lo-and-behold, there was 1 copy of the triple crush blue/bone/orange Atlantian put back up on their site today! I was suuuuper bummed that it was sold out before because it looked so cool, so I immediately snagged it and a mustard/oxblood copy of Phoenix! Hooraaaaaay!

Edit: Damn, should have ordered one of those Akuma records too. Those guys are goooood.

  7. they're on "special order" which is basically back order, and if the records are out of print means they probably won't get any more, which means you'll probably never get them.

I donno...I ordered Wo Fat - The Black Code from them that way and they didn't charge me for it...until a week later that is. We'll see what that means soon I guess, hopefully that it'll be coming soon.

  8. I can't wait to get my Earth records. Hopefully they're here tomorrow. That packaging looks so good.

It is! I didn't even post how it came packaged. Now that was a work of art. (Sorry ghostdrones, don't know how to multiquotenon phone, but this goes out to you too.) Those corner bumpers. Brilliant. I was a little worried because the box that arrives was so big, but it was packages immaculately. (Also forgot I ordered Om - Pilgrimage, so that was a nice surprise.) someone should do an unboxing vidbjust to show how much care SL takes when shipping.

  9. My life is not going in a direction that I am happy with and everything I do to change it seems to make things worse. I lie awake at night in a legitimate panic and I wonder if I am just doomed to remain deeply unhappy. I know how negatively it effects people I care about and that just makes things worse, and I feel like I can't even talk about it. On top of everything, I bought this quesadilla maker on sale at Kroger, and I can only put a thin layer of cheese on it without all of it melting out into a big mess that I have to clean out with a paper towel.

Dang, dude. That jazz about your quesadilla maker really brought me down. I hope that works out for you.
