  1. Not an answer but related to your topic. More info probably in the comments than the actual article though: Reissue Labels To Avoid and Some Best to Proceed With Caution
  2. Ya. I was trying to figure out what else they've released. Discogs was a bad idea. They're JJ #15.
  3. I saw that a pre-order went up on Secretly Canadian for a band I had never heard of. It had no description which I thought was weird so I checked them out. Turns out I like 'em and the promo video is really cool looking so I thought I would post this here. Anyway, a new LP is coming out by them on limited clear vinyl. Their Swedish label(here) has it for sale and it says the clear vinyl is limited. Insound has a white version that is 2 bucks more than the SC site's here. It's $17.99 on the SC site here. And HERE is the promo video for the album: And HERE is the first single released: And HERE is where this post ends-------->.
  4. Only clicked on this because I'm old as hell and listened to Chokehold when I was in high school in the early 90s. This actually rips though. Thanks for the heads up.
  5. I don't know a lot of independent record labels that make a lot of profit. Most are nonprofit by default.
  6. Don't forget an additional $30 to become a "member" if you want to get the die hard version since it will sell out before it's available to the public.
  7. I could be wrong and I'm not that bright but I think there are 2 copies of the Gold album on blue left and one copy of the gold vinyl in the shop now. Black is sold out. I have no idea since this seems to keep changing. https://www.districtlines.com/Earth
  8. That qualifies as a slow jam right? I really like it a lot too. Even the name is awesome. I love that fine line when I'm not sure if I'm stoned or drunk. That's the level of strunkness I try to achieve quite frequently.
  9. Was waiting for this thanks. I think song is even better than the one currently on the label's page:
  10. I think he's implying Deafheaven fans don't listen to actual black metal but would enjoy it if they tried listening to it. Can't say the preview track for Celestite has anything to do with black metal though.
  11. I'm pretty much just gonna say that I think this song sucks. It sucks whether it's WITTR or some random doing ambient music. Pretty much nothing to with why I've liked Wolves in the past. Parts of "Celestite Mirror" remind me a lot of PInkish Black & their song "Ashtray Eyes". I like Pinkish Black quite a bit but I definitely don't like it when I'm listening to Wolves In The Throne and reminded of them.
  12. You just thought this song was going to remain a youtube only release? Actually I didn't realize how old it was till I looked just now. June of 2013 seems like just yesterday...
  13. Been lurking around for quite awhile and recently signed up and have started posting here and there. Real name: Travis Favorite Bands: FKA Twigs, Ike & Tina, Oozing Wound, Lorde, Amon Tobin, Fleetwood Mac, Major Lazer, Funkadelic, Sly & the Family Stone, The Black Angels, The Monks, Burning Witch, Joe South, Biggie. What's your Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr etc.?: Deleted. Hobbies (outside of record collecting): The occasional PC game, reading, making cheesy computer music/videos, Dual Survivor & Ink Masters. Play in a band? Run a record label? Link us!: Played the drums for about 13 years. Started in hardcore bands and slowly moved to doom/stoner type music. None were notable but when I get bored I'll make a video for an old song like this. Random things you want us to know about you: I once swore off music recorded after 1980(except rap) and sold off my record collection. This lasted for about 5 years. I was convinced every thing worth listening to had already been done. I was probably right. Nevertheless, I've started collecting records again.
  14. Someone down voted this? They're pretty well known for it. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/26/urban-outfitters-steal_n_867604.html http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/2013/11/urban_outfitters_stealing_designs_glam-trash.php http://www.cnbc.com/id/43225662 http://boycotturbanoutfitters.tumblr.com/ http://supersonicart.com/post/58798461913/mallory-rose-vs-ashkahn http://action.sumofus.org/a/urban-outfitters/ There's quite a few more.
  15. How dare you listen to a band that's name is basically Emo Moon and mock KISS. The army will not stand for this!
  16. It's a well known fact that every Urban Outfitters store mishandles their indie, rock, jazz, soul & electronic/pop records. The good news is they handle their nu-metal, emo, hip hop/rap & country albums very gingerly. These also appear to be less tightly packed.
  17. I think the hook in the new song is awful but the video and the rest of the song is pretty cool. Since no one has mentioned the "Cookie Thumper" song in this thread yet, I'm going to post the video below. It came out awhile ago and is also on this album but I think it's a way better song than "Pitbull Terrier" so I still have high hopes for this album.
  18. If you're talking about the ones from 1999, they're listed on discogs. I just looked. I thought they came out at the same time Muchas Gracias did because I remember buying them all at around the same time but I guess Muchas was a year later. I smoked a lot of weed then so I don't remember things that well. I bought Circus & Sky Valley on black vinyl at my local record store. I didn't realize there was a color variant for each of these until looking at their entry on discogs just now. I'm not sure what information you want other than whether they existed or not but the entry for one of them is here on discogs: http://www.discogs.com/Kyuss-Welcome-To-Sky-Valley/release/1768920 I had a "record store friend" who swore that they were mixed differently than the original release and he could hear things that didn't exist before when listening to them on headphones. I'm pretty sure he was just too high and imagining things though cuz I never heard whatever he was talking about.
  19. I came to say something funny about the Turtles cuz I love that band but, uh, holy shit, this is pretty rad. Neal Sedaka!
  20. Despite this limited variant only costing $24.62 more than the black vinyl version, I'm gonna go ahead and get the black since all the promo posters and slipmats I receive have this odd way of eventually ending up in the trash. Pretty tempting otherwise though...
  21. Sacred Bones has an Amen Dunes 7" limited to 300 in their distro section now. I had to post this just because of that face. *didn't realize this was an older release. Still. That face.
