  1. Personal gripes get in the way when the money you spend at the store is funding the oppression of a whole class of people.

Unfortunately nearly every organization falls into this category in some way, from restaurants to retail chains to computer companies, whether it be employing kids overseas in sweatshops, funding questionable programs, politics, etc. You'd be hard pressed to find one that's 100% decent across the board.

Buy what you from from where you want, and if someone thinks otherwise, well, that's the beauty of a democracy.

  2. Has anyone actually experienced any damage from leaving the shrink on a single LP? It seems like everyone says it's possible, which I can totally see, but have never really heard any firsthand stories. If I have a single LP I usually just cut a little slit and leave the shrink on unless it's obviously super tight.

Never had this problem. I have some albums that are 30 years old with shrink still on , only the side "open" spine is exposed so I can get the record out and play it. Covers are still excellent.

  3. Glenn Frey, a founding member and guitarist of the Eagles, one of the most popular and commercially successful artists of the 1970s, has died. The band confirmed the news on Monday (Jan. 18) with a statement on its website.

"Glenn fought a courageous battle for the past several weeks but, sadly, succumbed to complications from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Acute Ulcerative Colitis and Pneumonia," read the statement. "Words can neither describe our sorrow, nor our love and respect for all that he has given to us, his family, the music community & millions of fans worldwide."

Frey had been battling intestinal issues that caused the band to postpone its Kennedy Center Honors. A statement from the band said then the recurring problem would require "major surgery and a lengthy recovery period."

  4. Maybe Kaepernick isn't finished in SF afterall lol.

That's what I'm thinking. He could have a blast on that offense.

As long as Chip stays away from GM duties, I think he'll be a good coach there. At the very least his offense can fire up the fan base (they desperately need it).
