  1. Bubbles Records will be releasing the new Erlend Oye solo record Legao on October 14th.

Erlend Oye is half of the Kings of Convenience, has a previous (excellent) solo record, Unrest, as well as a DJ Kicks comp, and until this year also had his Whitest Boy Alive project as well.

  2. I didn't check the regular sale section until later this afternoon - but there is some incredible stuff in there too.

Ducktails / Dracula Lewis - Split (limited to 500 copies) -  $12.99 (down from $22.99)

So be sure to browse more before you check out... lots of 7" that are half-off. http://www.insound.com/bargains/vinyl/1/?p=1&from=12602

  3. I was just a bit bummed to have Luna charging $40 (a $15 premium above MSRP) on a limited pressing of 100 (understandable), only to have Caldo Verde offer the exact same record for $25 and throwing in a free CD to boot. While I'm happy I secured a copy, I'm a bit turned off on how it went down. Why Caldo Verde and Vinyl Films can't just give the fans a good idea of what to expect, rather than the mad dash & easter egg hunt it has become...

  4. I'm guessing that Luna thought they had the exclusive, and now are a bit embarrassed that they had said so. Because you are not the first to ask them, but you are the first to get an actual response... and if they cared to look, they would realize that there were 300+ out there, perhaps even take it off their homepage :)

  5. I used to have a wall of them too - this was many years ago. Have a bunch more now. The Kings of Convenience one is probably my greatest get though... met them outside the Iota in Arlington, VA way back in the day. Oh, and Ryan Adams' Heartbreaker, signed by Ryan after he was holding the door for us as we left a restaurant. Yes, I was that guy. But the fact that I had it on me at all is still pretty awesome...
