And Lastly an Assfactor Four Lot contain both 7" and both LPs. killer richmond emo from the nineties. These are some of my favorites, but I need to attend my father's memorial half a country away, so please don't low ball me.
  3. I bought a ringtone from itunes. How do I send it to my phone?
  4. Thanks. After the post I found a place where they list it as a demo tape. Know anything about Sixteen Bullets?
  5. I read today there are two Torches to Rome LPs one from 1996, which I have never seen nor heard of until today, and the ebullition record. If you know anything about the former record, such as label, pressing info, etc. than please post it Have a healthy new year.
  6. I know this isn't vinyl related, but it is Var/No Idea related. Is Asshole Parade still doing that West Coast tour this January?
  7. Palatka collection. It took me a few years to get this beast together, some of these compilations were very difficult to come by, but none the less a bro found me a copy of bleaurgh a month ago and Kouka just traded me No Idea 100 test pressing for the tri colored version shown here. I don't really care about variants and I preferred how the tri-colored one looks. Note however, I eat my own shit here with the test pressings below. Palatka End of Irony on gray/test pressing Palatka/Asshole Parade split LP Network of Friends #2/test pressing for US version on Kurt & Jason Bleaurgh -A Music War- V/A 73 bands on a 7", every track is gold. Southeast Hardcore V/A A Product of Six Cents V/A Vida Life V/A Palatka/End of the Century Party split 7" Mandatory Marathon V/A Fragil #1 V/A No Idea 100: Redefilling Music V/A In Words of One Syllable V/A Food Not Bombs Benefit Record V/A Possessed to Skate V/A Destroy New Granada V/A The beauty is that a great deal of these can double up on my Asshole Parade collection. Palatka is like free jazz, like Ascension, sheer chaos with moments of sweet harmony.
  8. My friend and I started to make these packages of demos to send out to different labels. I am just wondering if anyone knows of any small labels that might be interested in a hardcore band. You can hear us here: www.myspace.com/bringyourbrain We have an extensive list, but I thought maybe someone might know of some small labels or venues even. We are ready to fucking rock this beast. We're in Southern California and would like to be in contact with local peeps if that helps. Peace
  9. Can anyone tell me of some cool hardcore/punk record stores in SF or even in the East Bay. I need addresses if you have them. I obviously know Amoeba and 1-2-3-4 Go! I'll be there all day Thursday and need some where to spend money.
  10. No bullshit, my wife and I had virtually the same conversation yesterday. We concluded everything is better when wrapped in bacon.
  11. is this a vailed brag? Fuck twenty bucks for four songs which you can find as a zip file on the internet. I love this dude, and his music, but this is a full scale scam. Just do another record and stop feeding in to late trends.
  12. Below is a list opf a few cds and two 7" I have left over from doing reviews. I have no space for things I don't want so feel free to buy them. They are all used and they are all 3.50 ppd. I should also note that most of them don't have jewel cases as record labels save on shipping and expenses this way. I'm all for it, less waste, less cost. I cut deals so if you want more 6than on let me know. 13. This actually happens more often than one would think, several dudes I work have had theirs stolen, and in fact one dude twice in within a few months.
  14. I emailed you son, but you never got back to me. It was about patches stickers and buttons. But I am inept at graphics programs and I don't know anyone who knows about them. look for the bringyourbrain email
  15. cool how do you it do it then? I would love to do all this shit myself, but I have no knowledge of it.
  16. Does anyone know where to get the old school canvas style patches made? I am also looking for a place that does stickers and buttons if they all coincide. Thanks dudes
  17. The problem is your idea of an America with honest opportunities for hard workers is just as much a myth as successful communism. Exactly, communism doesn't work, nor does capitalism. Not everyone can better themselves, it is logically impossible in a capitalist/democratic environment. Both are predicated on the notion of there being losers, so what about the losers? I don't believe in handouts. My family has been on both sides of the class spectrum. When I was born we were on welfare, when I was 10-15 we were wealthy (to a degree), now we're somewhere towards the lower end of the middle give or take. My point is not everyone can take the oppurtunities, not everyone can be a college graduate. Somebody has to pick fruit, somebody has to wrap my burgers, somebody has to ring me up, etc. I believe in redistribution of wealth (To an extent, I am not talking handouts or give aways either) because of this reality and because of the vast gap in pay between those at the top and those at the bottom. It is a myth to think we can all be successful, the world is interconnected and as long as we create hierarchies, which I believe are inevitable in structured social system, then there is a need to close the gap. It is a myth to think that any social structure can solve of the world's ills, whether it comes from Marx, McCain, Obama, Smith, or even Bernie Sanders.
  18. Sure but at some point you work with the lot you were dealt like everyone else. I mean Obama seems to have done just fine and he didn't exactly have an ideal start. If you make college more accessible I think you can cut to almost non-existent the people who don't have the ability to gain skills other's fine valuable. I still say you can't just give people money via wealth distribution, you have to make them earn it. Communism doesn't work in practice and at its core that's what wealth distribution really is. If you're not happy with your lot, go back to school. If that seems to hard well then I guess you didn't want it that much. Yes, all of life's answers await us in college.
  19. I agree with that, in fact Michael Moore wrote basically that same thing in his book "Dude, Where's My Country?" However, wealth re-distribution is silly and not needed. People who make more should contribute more but to equate that with wealth distribution is silly. Like it or not most people who make a ton, earned it. I think they deserve to live a nice rich life. Yes, but the reality is a fair amount of people are hard working, able people who don't have the same opportunities for advancement and/or the skills considered most valued. So it's fair to say that some of them earned it and deserve, but that does not discount others who are weighted with burdens they can not afford.

  21. It is ridiculous that American's continue to hold on to the myth that one day they too will be rich. Here's the truth, most of us will stay in the same place for our entire lives (class wise). Let go of your blinding fairytales so we can get down to brass tax about what is decent for lower classes and why wealthier individuals should pay more in taxes. Better yet, redistribute their wealth.
  22. Dead Friends are awesome, they have a killer 7" on Obscurist. Cop it!
