  1. Absolutely true, I was at Fest 6 myself, and a friend of mine who could never drink the Kool-Aid on those guys realized what he had been missing. I had the fortune to have never heard Avail before seeing them. I was 16 and 4am Friday had just been released and the Violent Femmes cover totally sold me. Avail rules, hands down.
  2. Avail is the greatest live band I have ever seen, 14 times and each one of them mind-blowing. The level of sincerity is unparrallel. I just don't think the kids of today, I am not some jaded asshole (but we all have to admit things changed after 2000/Vagrant), could really understand this band or kind of music.
  3. Circus Lupus is kind of weird an definitely sound like the late eighties, but it's killer none the less. I got into them from that box set.
  4. great show, small crowd, and the glass house record store is a pretty good place to see bands. American Lies played, not the best band you've ever heard, but their bass player is a shredder.
  5. hey, crimen in stereo and polar bear club are playing in pomona, ca. on friday the 17th. They're label mates, no? The venue is called the glass house record store. Boo-yah
  6. I am looking to trade a No Idea 100 Redefilling Music test pressing, out of 20 I believe, though maybe less, for an actual color copy of this record, the tri-color version. If interested pm me. Thanks. Also, anybody got an avail/young pioneers 7" they can get rid of let me know.
  7. I'm looking for a copy of Ceremony- Violence, Violence on any color and Avail/Young Pioneers Fall of Richmond 7" and Bread & Circuits/Former Members of Alfonsin LP and a good time. I am willing to trade, but not looking to pay an arm and a leg.
  8. I work in a Warehouse and we all have desks and computers for shipping and receiving. I'm the youngest guy here, 28, and the closest in age to me is 46, so none of these guys have really ever had computers in their lives and have all been married for an extended period of time so porn has never really been an option for them. The oldest guy Bill, 62, looks at nudie pics through msnlive on a daily basis for about twenty to thirty minutes then walks to the northside where we keep the white hand towels, grabs one, goes into the bathroom for about four minutes, comes out with a nervous look gets a drink from the faucet and then goes outside for two cigarettes, back to back. I'm all for jerking off, but not at work dude. That's where I play Sudoku and shit.
  9. That sounds about right. Did you ever get those DM3 MP3's?
  10. I was trying to find this in another thread but I couldn't so I thought I would ask if anyone knows the weight of a seven and of an LP. I know these would be rough estimates, but I thought I would take a shot. Thanks.
  11. this picture and the description below are too goddamn accurate.
  12. Avail flag bearer, right calf. Young Pioneers hammer and star, left forearm.
  13. I'll be at San Fran and Hollywood, maybe Pomona too
  14. If I recall, the West Coast is on deck post-Fest, so either late 2008 or early 2009. I forget. It is in the works though. That is awesome
