Here's a funny story:

When Twin Peaks premiered in my home country, two channels were fighting over the rights to air it. When one of them got it and aired the first season, the other channel spoilered the murderer in their videotext. After that nobody cared anymore and it was cancelled. Naughty.

Well it doesn't really spoil the rest of it though so that was silly for them to cancel. Hope the new show won't suck.

How'd you like it? I think the TP pilot is seriously one of the best things I have ever seen. Does Wayward Pinespoint on a similar direction? Never heard of it.

I recently binge watched Twin Peaks for the first time finally last year free on Hulu. Most of it is pretty great and its not surprising that it was canceled. Dumb American audiences want dumb tv.

Damn I recently bought the portals and only played through the first one. Could have got them so much cheaper.

Was getting Kung Fury and since Hotline Miami was on sale I thought I would check it out. Looks like a more trippy retro Postal almost.

Also went back and got VVVVVV and 8bit boy. I'm new to Steam and I swear I might never buy games any other time of the year again! All the games I recently bought are on sale right now.

They track your play time and progress so it should be even easier than refunding anything else.

i'd love to able to indulge in some facial topiary but she who must be obeyed has banned beards, she says they make me look old and the best I can get away with is about a weeks worth of stubble.

I just had the opposite problem for 3 years so thats why I'm enjoying the shaving.

Oh yeah they are probably used to it and will be cool with it. I like getting a smooth shave but might consider growing a beard again but will wait until I get a job and then grow it.

Yeah, the cassette's pretty good. I'm not a big Metric fan, so I didn't get all hot and bothered over it, but my wife really liked it. It's definitely something cool to have! And that last track looks like an EP exclusive, unlike the other 3.

Probably one of the exclusive downloads that also comes with the pre-order only. Very cool and despite what the cassette collective thread thinks, $20 for all that is pretty good for a band that is actually known.

Yes! Just to be clear, I'm not complaining. Maybe a little jealous but I still like to see these high end systems.

Side note: my wife just made me aware of a $0.53 international bank fee from when I ordered this with my debit card. I'm all about supporting bands, but I don't want to support some warmongering nation who thinks it's going pound its chest throughout the wor...oh wait...

Well, I got the second interview. So this is where I will find out what they are all about. Things like exactly what my responsibilities would be, the layout of the company, the environment, the size of the company, etc. It'll be interesting to interview them though. I'll ask the why the job is open, and what are their expectations of me, etc.

First one was on the phone so is the second one in person? Hopefully they are cool with the beard. Seriously why does it fucking matter?

Yeah I have been frustrated a few times when I forget to put the filter on and see something interesting that works on everything but Mac or just Windows. At least it seems better than it was years back. Luckily I'm not a big gamer but I might have to check out this sale. Need to play the last cheap games I got though.

I'm with you on that. My commute now is 30 mins, because of traffic (6 mile drive) and I hate wasting an hour a day driving. I want a job within 10-15 minutes walking distance, but it's not possible here though. Hopefully once I'm out in Portland it might be a wee bit more realistic.

Im fine with long bus rides because I either listen to my iPod or nod off. Handheld gaming helps too. Just sucks that jobs have to start so early, for what?

Yeah, I think they signed the inside of the J cards prior to packaging. Probably directly from the printers.

Generally speaking, I think they come in cellophane. Mine did.

Nice, I think one of the reasons I wanted the Metric EP tape turned out to be crap because the limited supplies of signed must have ran out. You would think they would have a different purchase set up for signed and not signed with a different price. Unless it was sealed after signing which I doubt and I don't feel like opening it. Lame!

Lame. At least I get a download of the new album and a silly tape. I can't figure out why the tape thing isn't exciting to me. I grew up with tapes. Always had to have a case of them with me and when I little I learned to tape from radio. Almost no interest in the tape revival. Then again in the 90s I was desperate to get things on CD when I could.

Definitely agree with that. I don't want to be stressing over my job, but not stressing over living expenses either. The small / med. business usually have that happy medium for me.

 

I've been applying all week and have gotten 3 call backs. Unfortunately I'm kind of limited to anything in biking distance. I had to pass up an offer the other day cause it was an hour commute via public transportation. Oh well. I'm optimistic I'll find something within the month though. Applying every day, I'm sure I'll find something soon.

Same here except I'm fine with the commute, its just that some start earlier than the bus can make it there.
