Have seen this a lot in the newb section at head-fi lately too, really bad stuff. Like I said, one newb asking about lossy vs lossless and another saying lossy loses info every time it gets moved while lossless doesn't. OMFG I had to wonder if this guy was real and made myself answer him nicely. Was hard to hold back though.

Today someone asked if he should buy CDs or just buy digital downloads because he doesn't have a good CD player yet. Maybe I will reply "Vinyl"

I have an old brush from way back made by Hunt E.D.A that works fine and it's very similar to a lot of others around back then.

Thats the next one I have considered but I feel like they will be mostly similar. It does get better and worse  depending on the weather. I tried adding a ground wire and it did nothing. I find that waving a ground wire carefully over records will discharge them but only if I hold them I think. Not ideal but cheaper than $100 zerostat. Have thought about making something like this though just to tap on the records.

Think of it like the chill out zone at Glastonbury, we go from the bog standard to the so far out there you need a net to bring it back.

Update: I have finished eating my shrimps now.

Looks like another thing will be getting here tomorrow before my copy of In Utero. The new Metric ep cassette and I didnt get a thrift store tape to test out my deck yet. Guess I could test it with that and hope it doesn't get eaten.

I just dumped a bunch of frozen shrimps into a plastic bag and ran water into it. Waited a while, and now I'm eating the shrimps out of the bag.

Thats cool then. Maybe if you take your own you can just take the outer sleeve and leave the vinyl at home so they won't sign it? I think I might prefer the vinyl signed for some reason. Maybe I'm just weird.

I remember this coming up in that thread about the pink vinyl being signed but thats really an issue? I would be fine with it and get another copy anyways.

Nothing yet, just earlier while out walking I was thinking about the whole "electronic music is stupid on vinyl because its not analog" nonsense and I just voiced it in the elitist thread because it's extremely wrong. I don't think people who say this are listening to only acoustic music recorded with microphones. An electric guitar just converts vibrations into electronic signals. Yeah I get that simple beeps and boops and 8-bit are silly on vinyl though.

Oh yeah, and sorry but electric guitars and synths work almost the same way. So the whole electronic sounds are stupid on vinyl shit is nonsense.
