Sick, I may have been the first order! Wanna send something dope to Indiana for me?
I made the second order. Always glad to support smaller businesses and roll the dice on mystery vinyl!
Just to reiterate what the original post said: the shipping cost is INCLUDED in the $20 price for US orders.
-
I live in Seattle, and shipping for a single album is $9.95. That's pretty harsh, but it does explain why they can continue putting the coupons out there.
-
I basically got it for a few bucks over what Yep Roc was selling it for...
Well done!

Help us do some spring cleaning and get yourself some great music and a SUPER affordable price!
I have $330 of LPs in my cart. Time to buy some self-control.
-
$138.50, including USPS Media Mail.
-
23 tracks spread out over 4 LPs--why? Maybe next time they could spread them out over 11 LPs to maximize profits on this one.

Pixies
Minotaur
$230 shipped -- best regular price yet that I've seen...
5-CD + 4-LP + 1-Blu-ray + 2-DVD + 54, 96 Book set) the definitive Pixies collector's piece. Minotaur is curated by legendary graphic designer, Vaughan Oliver with photographer Simon Larbalestier, created the album artwork for all five Pixies' studio albums. Oliver and Larbalestier have teamed up once again on Minotaur, to create their largest single body of Pixies work to date. Includes all five Pixies' studio albums (Come on Pilgrim, Surfer Rosa, Doolittle, Bossanova, and Trompe le Monde) in the following formats: 24k gold plated CD's; five 12" - 180 gram virgin vinyl LP's cut from the original analog tapes; Blu-ray audio mastered for 5.1 surround sound and 2 channel stereo at 24/192; DVD mastered for 5.1 surround sound and 2 channel stereo at 24/96. Also included is the previously unreleased Pixies 1991 live performance from Brixton, on both Blu-ray and DVD, mastered for 5.1 surround sound at 24/192 and 24/96, respectively. All discs are housed in a custom designed folio. In addition to reinterpreting all of the original album covers, Oliver's and Larbalestier's extensive work is featured in a 96-page fine art book, measuring 22" x 14" inches, and an additional 54-page book, measuring 7.75" x 8.25". Also included is a 12" x 19.5" giclee print of the duo's work, and two double-sided fold-out posters measuring 48" x 36." Oh, Jesus. So tempting.

B.B. King The Kings Blues Box is on Amazon.ca for Pre-Order at $23.60. On Amazon.com its up at $64.98.
I'm guessing it's an error but if you pre-order now at that price they will most likely honor it:
$23.97USD including shipping. Didn't have to think twice.
-
Yea I feel ya on the sound....it does sound kinda weird
I listened to the digital version again just in case I might have forgotten how it should sound. Definitely something wrong with this LP. I wonder if all copies have the same issue.
-
My copy arrived today. It's a beautiful piece of vinyl. Something about the sound of it doesn't seem quite right, but I can't put my finger on it yet.
-
It is Plain. Do they do bad pressings?
Stay far away from Plain.

Hobbledehoy in Australia are doing 29% off everything (except shipping and gift certificates) until 0829 Eastern Standard Time USA / 1329 GMT (2359 Australian Central Time) on January 1st 2016. Get that Caspian / TWDY / other stuff record you want.
Code is: PARTY29
I went to buy the double LP from Deafheaven (newest one). $21 shipping. Nope.
-
Another good piece on the topic, from AnalogPlanet.
-
Also just found this VC thread about Plain Recordings. Still curious about the other labels.
-
I just found this thread on the Drowned in Sound music board today. The thread has one response in which a person rates the main LP reissuers (see following list).
Could anyone weigh in on whether they agree with or disagree with these ratings--and why? I was looking at some Plain Recordings LPs over on acousticsounds.com today, but I definitely want no part of them if they are going to be average or poor.
Quality is very dependant on the label in charge of the reissue. Here are a couple of examples that come to mind:
Usually Very Good:
Music on Vinyl
Rhino
Light in the Attic
Numero GroupAverage to Good:
Back to Black
Major label reissuesUsually Very Poor:
Plain Recordings
4 Men with Beards
Back on Black -
The vinyl revival will start tailing off in the second half of 2016. By Q1 of 2017, we'll begin seeing stories about how the vinyl industry is "in trouble again."
-
Mine arrived today. Very well made and weighs a ton.
-
Mine got delayed for 2 weeks, but with the exchange rate right now would be $78 USD shipped...thanks to the stronger US dollar and weaker Canadian dollar!
They also let me know today that they reduced my price by four bucks. LOL.
-
This is a good record
I also keep seeing the Carly Rae Jepsen album from this year on best-of year-end lists. Might have to grab that one as well if its price goes down.
-
Never heard of any of this. Guess that means I'm not pretentious enough.
Had you heard of The Beatles before you heard of The Beatles? Obviously not. Are you now "pretentious" now that you know about The Beatles? I'd guess not. You don't have to be pretentious to be interested in music you've never heard before.

$100 +$8 shipping
Due to overwhelming demand, we have decided to open up EARLY pre-orders for the Luna Long Players Box Set. Typically, we wait until we have more concrete arrival dates for a collection such as this, but some of you seem to be a bit worried that you won't have an opportunity to own this, which we understand.
With that being said, this Box Set's target date to arrive is Feb/March. It will ship as soon as it arrives in our warehouse. This is an early pre-order and, if you have reservations, we ask you to hold off. We will be updating all pre-order customers bi-weekly (or every two weeks) on progress. People who pre-order will be sent messages with photos and more. Thanks for posting about its availability (at long last).

I'm definitely glad you shared. There's a ton of stuff on there i'd never even heard of, but seems neat. I'll be checking out a good number of these albums to see if they're anything I'll enjoy.
I just thought I'd throw out the reissues that I was excited about from this year too.
Appreciated!

Couldn't agree more. If they put a bit more effort into it, they could be selling a lot more stuff.
