Ladies, gentlemen. I visited the site again today and decided to email Taang! and inquire about ordering, since this is to be released October 1 according to the homepage. I got a quick response saying they were in possession of the albums, and if I ordered now it would ship today! I went back to the site, and it turns out you CAN pre-order via the Mail Orders section of the site. I had not previously checked that as the homepage says the site is under construction, and the album image on the homepage didn't link anywhere.
But yes, you CAN order this now, and here is the link!

WOOHOO! Ordered! I was in grad school in Boston from the fall of 1992 to the summer of 1994. One of the best parts of my experience was all the quality college radio stations there, and they played the fuck out of this album. Will love having this on vinyl.

Its still up on the US site but gone on the UK.
What's the US URL? I'm having a tough time finding it, and I'm blocked from using the Placebo shortened URLs because the shortener has a shite reputation.

That new song is fucking great.

Ordered the Detroit Cobra reissues separately for a nice discount but the shipping at its cheapest was Priority Mail for a little under $8. Still a deal!
I went to order two Detroit Cobra LPs. Cheapest shipping option was $12,79 to Seattle. Gong.

In Seattle, Easy Street in West Seattle is worth your time. They are, sadly, frequently overpriced, but I still like to support them because they are local.
In both Seattle and Portland, Everyday Music is worth a stop. Quality used recent arrivals and (let's be honest) really fun bargain CD section.

Really curious who is pressing these. They look like MOV mock-ups but I can't find confirmation. Really hoping these sound better than the 2014 represses, but I'll hold out hope until someone reports back.
An excellent point. These look super cool. More concerned about how they sound.

Mine arrived today. Haven't listened to any of the albums yet, but I'm just grateful it's finally here. Pretty sure I'll never preorder anything from that label again.

update: played it, no thump but a fair amount of pops and clicks. one particularly bad section on track 2 of side b that actually makes it skip, right on a splatter bit. it feels like something is embedded in it. I'll give it a good cleaning and see if it helps, but it's a bit of a bummer.
Polyvinyl let me know that they listened to the few copies they retained, and they heard surface noise but nothing extraordinary. They definitely have a different copy than I have. If you want to ping them for a refund or return, go to their contact page, note all the email addresses there, and send an email to all of those addresses. If you send it only to mailorder@, you might not hear back in a timely fashion.

I ended up with an Optimal (from Reckless) and it sounds very solid, throughout the majority of the album. I get a few light clicks during Glass Eyes (first song Side C), and then some actual troublesome pops during True Love Waits (last song Side D). Overall I am fine with it, I just wish the noisy song weren't one of the quietest on the album to begin with.
Was your copy white? Mine had "white vinyl" on the silver sticker, but both LPs are black.

I got one of the /300. Sadly, it had manufacturing (THUMP THUMP THUMP) defects on each side. They issued me a refund.

Except they didnt put pre orders up a year ago
Yes its been a shit show but pre orders went up in Dec
Whatever. It's been an egregious amount of time. There's a reason most labels don't take orders far in advance, and it's to avoid shit like this.

They sent me this email, yesterday:
"We are currently waiting for more sets to arrive from the pressing plant, as our first shipment from them was incomplete. We hope to receive them later this week, at which point more orders will go out. I apologize for the delay. Once your order does leave our facility, it will ship with a new tracking number from the one you received before . Thanks!"
This has been quite the shit show to watch. I placed my order more than a year ago now, and I'm guessing I'm looking at another month or two of waiting. And yes, I knew when I placed my order that they weren't expecting to have it for at least six or eight months, but it's now been 12+. May as well be a Kickstarter.

Received my copy today! Forgot how well I know this album--listened to it constantly when it came out originally. Still sounds ahead of things.
