Didn't he write these songs while on tour or traveling around the country? A hotel room view for the cover makes sense to me... 

He writes good shit. People still complain. 

I'm the opposite of most of you. I think this new stuff is more interesting than most of the post Ghosts of the Highway stuff. 2CDs worth of this songwriting is a LOT to take in in one sitting. But my first reaction is that it's mostly brilliant. I loved UT, and this is on par with that. A bit more stylistically diverse, a little more chorus-y. If I can find the time (!) to re listen to it a few times I might like it better than UT. 

I only had the regular version, and went for the new special edition. It's really only just a different sleeve (plus that thunderstorm CD). But if you like her artwork it's really really nice to have a big LP sized piece of it. I'm glad I bought one. (the 7" too is beautiful!) 

I tried to order right away but the LP bundle with Large shirts went out of stock before I could complete my purchase. Had to go with the CD bundle instead. Hopefully can pick up the clear vinyl at my local on release day. 

Looks like a single LP. 

Not sure if this warrants a new thread, since there's no PO info. But apparently they had a new live LP for sale at their New Year show in SF last night? Anybody have any info??

I saw tons of people buying the vinyl at the show, but nobody with the 7" besides me... I just asked the merch guy at the beginning if he would have them after the show so I wouldn't have to hold it all night and that's just what he told me. Maybe he just wanted to make sure I bought one... 

At her Nashville show now. They have the 7" for sale unbundled but only selling 10 per show like Sufjan last year. Go early! Also stand alone blue vinyl. 

I read on another forum that W.A.S.T.E. said they are shipping out the last week in September. 

Wish I had gotten the bundle, but I ordered a blue from her store and sprung for the white Rough Trade. I'll get the purple tomorrow. I've been loving the download that much so far. 

See her in nashville next next week too. Would be really cool if she did have some of those 7"s to sell then! 

I love that Minor Victories track! I think Rachel singing in his style is perfect and a highlight of that album. 

I will agree that maybe a name change would have helped with his stylistic change in songwriting. 

A July 2016 announcement of a June 2017 album is pretty silly tho. 

I keep thinking of the Day of the Dead set with 10 full length LPs that 4AD is selling for $145 I think. $140 for 7 EPs (plus a dvd and goodies) is high. I'm still only about one second from pre-ordering though. It is Belle and Sebastian after all... 

I agree. This release makes no sense. I would say they are my favorite band and I would love to be complete, and the booklets and whatnot would be cool. But there's no good reason to repress these... 

This is ridiculously expensive for 7 12"s if you ask me. Is anybody else biting the hook?.... 

They said they'd be sending out shipping notifications this week. Anyone get one yet?....

To bring it back to the white for a second, my store did say today they will be getting a decent amount of them. "Limited but not that limited ". I know they can hold me one so I'm going to cancel my Bullmoose order and get it there. This is after canceling my Norman order. I love these games...

In the tweet they said this. "A 7” of Burn The Witch/Spectre comes to UK independent record shops Friday and selected stores internationally soon.". Soon...

I'm happy to be seeing them at Lollapalooza. They're given a very nice 2 hour slot when the headliners on the other nights only get 90 minutes. M83 is the band on that stage a couple of hours before Radiohead so that'll make a decent "opener" if you ask me. 

I also find double 10" records annoying. Was hoping Kid A and Amnesiac would go to single LPs for these reissues the way King of Limbs is available that way. I do have the newspaper double 10" of KOL but I've only spun it a couple of times. I'd rather have one LP. 

I really should have just waited... Cancelled my Norman records order and snagged from Bullmoose instead. Thanks.
