  1. I was 14 or 15 years old and was spending the summer in Tennessee. I was promised a trip to Nashville and when we went I just had to stop at Third Man Records. They had the Rolling Record Store parked out front (not selling records unfortunately) and had no idea the thing ever existed until seeing it. I'm not sure what I was planning on getting when going into the dinky shop, but I came out with The Dead Weather's Sea of Cowards. I love that album. I always thought Blue Blood Blues was a killer song to open that album with.
  2. I ordered a gold version from Amazon back in January which is no longer available to order. They haven't contacted me about it not being available so I wonder if they just hit a limit they could sell. Regardless, I'll know between now and Tuesday night if they send it and if it's actually the gold version.
  3. I love my Counting Crows - August And Everything After (Analogue Productions - 200g, 45 rpm). Another one I've always loved was Fitz And The Tantrums - More Than Just A Dream. It just always sounded fantastic on the table. My copy of Frank Sinatra & Count Basie's It Might As Well Be Swing sounds great too. The bass is nice. Those are just a few. The UK version of White Stripes' Elephant has to be on this list for me. Jack White's new material just sounds underwhelmed compared to my Stripes pressings. I still go out and grab the new stuff, but it just hasn't been comparable as of yet.
  4. Preorders: Django Django - Born Under Saturn Courtney Barnett - Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit Mew - +- Ryley Walker - Primrose Green Sufjan Stevens - Carrie & Lowell MERGE! Will Butler - Policy Waxahatchee - Ivy Tripp Mountain Goats - Beat the Champ
  5. My understanding is that the indie version is orange and comes with a slipmat. I don't believe it's the gatefold.
  6. If you haven't snagged one of the Indie versions you can get them at origami or amoeba. http://www.amoeba.com/sometimes-i-sit-and-think-and-sometimes-i-just-sit-indie-version-lp-courtney-barnett/albums/3466342/ http://onlineshop.origamiorigami.com/courtney-barnett-sometimes-i-sit-and-think-and-sometimes-i-just-sit-%7C-ltd-edition-orange-vinyl-w-slip-mat-(pre-order)/dp/27127
