I've had a sudden and unexpected turn of really, really bad luck, and it's left me in an unfortunate position of needing far more money than I have at my immediate disposal. I forgot you posted that, but pretty much my thoughts exactly. They may find a small indie game to release, but just starting out with no previous track record they're not likely to get far with any big company unless there's more to this than meets the eye (which I doubt).

Novu Records sent out an update that they're now legally licensed for business, meaning they can now seek licenses. Anybody else find it strange they announced they were seeking rights to albums before even being licensed as a business? This concerns me that they have little or no previous experience and that they are going to put out a poor product, or that's it's just another cash grab. If they get a product out at all, that is. Thoughts?

Yeah, somebody somewhere mentioned Microsoft had a vinyl project they were working on and the assumption is that it's Ori, I mean, what else do they really have that hasn't hit vinyl yet? Right? It's gotta be. I pray that it is. Seriously, I'm desperate for this... Ah man, I don't have a tape player or I'd consider that. I get that it's the latest rage (because it's so cheap to produce really), but I literally have no way to play tapes so they have no appeal to me personally. Cool though. No worries, this is an open edition. Bravewave have repeatedly stated they didn't want this to be an overpriced collectors item. Even the "Limited Edition" was the exact same set, but included a signed postcard. No joke, the only difference is a postcard. Anyway, you have plenty of time to think it over. This is the second pressing, and I understand when this sells out they'll have a small gap before doing a third. They underestimated demand the first time, and are gauging it better for future runs.

Hotline Miami twitter teased something soundtrack related. Let's all hope this is HM on vinyl.

I could seriously make a list of hundreds of games I'd love to see on vinyl, and more than half would be modern or fairly modern titles. While I don't love the prices we're seeing on a lot of these titles, I do hope that we'll continue to see a lot of titles coming out each year. At least until the inevitable wave of popularity dies down in a year or two, and we see a handful of dedicated companies releasing quality titles at a slower pace.

Tecmo/Koei owns Ninja Gaiden. Not that I could say, but from past experience I would absolutely not be surprised if they licensed it to Daigle. While a lot of people say/think corporations are sue happy, there are clear examples of game companies licensing unofficial works in the past. For instance Capcom bucked the trend when they sent lawyers to Mega Ran to make sure he was legit and licensed (he sometimes talks about this at concerts), and Capcom also had well known bootleggers of "repro" games, Timewalk Games (now defunct) make their Ducktales HD press kits for sure. I think also had TW make their Mega Man 9 press kit, but I'm not sure. Now, to be fair, that's not common, for sure, but some companies honestly don't care about this sort of behavior. They're the exception, not the rule, obviously, but it does happen. Now, maybe it is Ninja Gaiden, I don't know, but to single that one out seems kind of unlikely, but they did say it was one not sold yet, which rules out all the other bootleg releases from him. So I have to say it's possible. Also if talking about licensing and previous precedents is too close to talking about bootleg releases, especially as I'm not supporting buying them or linking them, other than simply pointing out other examples of illegitimate titles getting legitimate licensing, then please, Mods, PM me and I'll take this down. This isn't me making a discussion about bootlegging so much as it is how some companies, one in particular, have handled their IP's in the past.

Well this thread seems to have died. Just got in a terrible, terrible "Club Saturn" mix album. It's very mediocre, for those curious.

To put it in perspective, I waited a year on one album I just received last month. The delays after ordering it were incredible, however there was constant communication in the process. Maybe drop the label a line.
