  1. no?

Than don't bitch about it. Besides, just because something happened in the comics doesn't mean it'll happen in the show but we have the right to speculate.

    Soylent Green IS people.

The Titanic sinks and Jack Dies.

Dr. Crowe was dead the whole time.

    Darth Vader is Luke's Father.

    Tyler Durden isn't real.

Donnie Darko dies thanks to time travel in an alternate universe.

  2. Enjoy it! That game fucks with your head in the best way possible when you have to make decisions.

I'm on episode 5 now and it's been well worth the $10.

I finished the first episode this morning and it was absolutely fantastic. I haven't been this enamored by a story, which is very Donnie Darko esque in the best way in my opinion, or as in love with fictional characters in a video game since the first season of Telltale's The Walking Dead. The game is gorgeous visually as well, lots of really great cinematic shots that remind me of Kingdom Hearts (also by Square Enix) which is one of my favorite series of all time. The facial recognition and dialogue motioning can be off at times but that's a small thing to point out considering how well the characters are acted and how perfectly everything else was executed just in the first episode. This is the best video game purchase I've made in a very long time and I purchased Black Ops 3 and Fallout 4 + both of their season passes on launch day.

I can't shake the feeling that things are about to get very dark and depressing though, I'm nervous to continue.

  3. Just watched the episode, I think there was some Carol foreshadowing, wouldn't surprise me if she gets the Glenn death.

What if they give her the Holly death SUPER early? It happens much later in the comics but I think that would be one hell of a death for her, if she absolutely has to go. Leave her fate unknown until like the season 7 mid season finale then let Daryl "discover" her (assuming he doesn't die in the finale).

  4. Been looking for copies of "Ups And Downsizing" and "Good For Me" for a while now. If anyone has a copy of either they'd like to get rid of please PM me with pressing/condition info and how much you're looking to get. Thanks!

UPDATE: I've found a copy of "Ups And Downsizing", still looking for a reasonably priced copy of "Good For Me".

UPDATE 2: My best friend and I saw The Swellers together YEARS ago and he bought a copy of "Good For Me", which he ended up losing for years. I just contacted him to see if he's found it yet and it turns out he has. It's still in mint condition, unopened. So he's sending it to me for free.

  5. Just who are exactly the "real fans"? I've watched since day 1 and will personally be bummed if Daryl bites it.

And that's fine, but by "real fans" I meant those who will continue watching even if Daryl is killed off because they're a fan of the show as a whole and not just Daryl. A lot of these rabid Daryl fans (who are usually women) aren't even fans of the actor himself let alone the show. They make no effort to check out any of Norman's other work and they swear up, right, left and down that if Daryl dies they'll "riot" and stop watching the show.

If you stop watching a show because your favorite character dies/leaves, you're a fan of that character not of the show. A "real fan" would stick around. Another great example of that is my favorite show of all time, The Office.

  6. Link please?

You can pre-order it through a handful of sites, but I preordered it through EntertainmentEarth. It comes to about $16 shipped and they don't charge you until it's actually in stock and preparing for shipment.

For the uneducated or close minded, they also have Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton pops available for pre-order.

    Hahaha that's so great.

    Right? :P

  7. Just got an emai from no sleep saying that Suburbia was damaged in transit to merch now and that it was removed from my order with the Upsides. So I'm assuming anyone who ordered Suburbia isn't getting it.

Yup, just got that email too. Now I gotta pay out the ass for a secondary market copy..

Or, more likely, Chris just realized how much they go for on Ebay/Discogs and decided to sell the copies there to scrape up a couple more pennies before NSR dies it's inevitable death. I haven't gotten that email yet but this is horse shit.

  8. As far as I can remember Lori and Judith were both killed off pretty quickly, I feel like maybe they're setting up Maggie to have this outcome but with less brutality. Maybe she bites it instead of Glenn, and since she's pregnant you'd get the "ouch" factor from the books when this happened to Rick without having to graphically show it.

    The thing about that is...

They've been setting up her future comic storyline (which is her taking leadership of The Hilltop) for a while now with Dianna mentoring her and all. Now even more so with her having made the big deal with Gregory. Also in the comics following the death of Glenn and her new leadership role, she cuts her hair really short which is something we've already seen outside of the show.

I simply don't believe they would put so much effort into that story just to kill her off before it comes to fruition, therefor her plot armor keeps her safe I think. I think Tara sealed her fate when she told Denise she loved her and Denise said she'd say it back when she came back from her two weeks run with Heath. I specifically think she'll take the comic death of another character, one Kirkman regrets giving to the character who got it in the comics. It's an important death that doesn't necessarily have to go to a big character as it's just a means of introducing (or in this case reintroducing) a character from Negan's group.

As for Lucille... it's tricky because no matter what they do there will be people who are disappointed. Glenn and Daryl are both equally as predictable right now but it's vital to the story (at least in the comics -- they could approach it differently, I just hope it's done well if they do) that Glenn gets that death as it's what ultimately plays into what I wrote above in the spoiler tags. The death of Daryl would be more for shock value and selling the whole "nobody is safe" Game Of Thrones-esque aesthetic they've been trying to hit us with for years.

Story vs. Shock -- I love Glenn and I think he should get his iconic death, it's a crucial part of not only his story but everyone else's and how it effects each of them. With that said though, I think Daryl's character has gotten stale and I want to see all of the teeny bopper Daryl fans ("Kill Daryl and we'll riot!!!!!1") cry so the real fans can watch the show in peace.

...but of course I could be entirely wrong, this is just my two cents. I think Glenn and Daryl are the only reasonable candidates for the death. A lot of people think it should go to Morgan but I really don't believe he deserves it, he's not important enough and wouldn't provide the shock value or the effect that death needs to have on the characters for the story to progress. I guess the death could go to Carol but I believe her story is FAR from over and as one of the best actress/actors on the show/best character on the show (again, just my opinion) I think it would be a real shame to see her go so soon.

  9. Them face bashing photos...gotdam.

Brutal, right? That's probably the first time since the scene with Rick slashing the baby pigs and throwing them as walker bait back at the prison that the show has made my stomach turn.

Also, I love the fact that The Saviors have a "grow house" in their compound. NA NA NA NA NA. It's the motherfuckin' N-E-G-A-N.

  10. The only reason I never canceled my order for the Upsides/Suburbia bundle is because I'm pretty sure they got the pricing wrong. I got the bundle for $27 shipped.

I actually didn't buy the bundle now that I think about it, it was cheaper to just buy The Upsides and Suburbia separately for some reason (kinda defeats the purpose of the bundle no?). Also at the time I ordered there was a discount code going around, so I got both records + A comp for mom for like $33 shipped if I remember correctly. I actually emailed MerchNow about canceling the order but they told me to email Chris, which I didn't care to do, so I told them nevermind. For the price I paid for all 3 records I'd be lucky if I found just a copy of Suburbia, so fuck it I can wait a little longer.

  11. sorry to bump the thread, but I thought that since a lot of people were still waiting on this, if this piece of satire wasn't posted anywhere on the boards yet that this would be a good thread to post it in.

    Brilliant

MerchNow just told me on Twitter that they have these in stock and have started shipping.

About time! I just hope we all receive any records we ordered with it though. I bought the bundle with Suburbia and a copy of A Comp For Mom too
