theres one on ebay for those interested, seems like a lot of people have been searching for quite some time http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mayday-Parade-Self-Titled-Vinyl-LP-Black-Limited-Pressing-/281617818762?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4191bae48a

Picked them up from Northridge also.

Was there a store list posted? I searched the thread and couldnt find it. Thanks.

listening > collecting variants = only need one copy for that

Circa just tweeted: Probably wouldn’t run out and by one of those represses from the douchers that immediately flip them for 3x $. We’ll make more next year.
180g Black would be sweet. Oh wait did i say that already?
-
12/17? or 1/17? something 17
Thank you or Thanks.

juturna pic disc is anywhere between $150-200 and OLG pic disc is around $100-150. Pretty crazy. I will give you $50 each. worth a shot.
I was joking on eBay. I hate it. Although it was good to me on raising money for my baby. If black happens i'll trade straight up. If not I'll let them go for a fair price.
-
Another question. Do we know HT release date? I looked through some pages but can't find it.
-
OLG is blue, Juturna is orange
Rad. I want those instead of these marble. If i have to get color solid is better.
-
ill take em.
how much do they go for on eBay?
What are the HT colors? Do we know that? If these get pressed on black I would trade for standard black. I spun Juturna once and OLG never. I dont know why I never bought the OG standard pressings.
-
I can finally get rid of my picture disc pressings. Wish they would press standard black of these though.

Buffbloom - keep doing what you do. Collecting anything is slightly nerdy and obsessive. So I am all for it.

why? i don't understand why it matters how much it weighs. it's not like labels are advertising 180 gram records and sending out 120 gram records. vinyl production is a manual process. 180 grams is an estimation. does it matter if it's actually 172 or 190 grams? what's next? collecting different weighted records? "i have it on 172 AND 186 gram vinyl! i'm looking for 173-185!"
Name Taken was advertised as 180 gram. Came in at 160.

Yea I'm not anti-eBay, in fact I think everyone has the right to flip. But don't I also have the right to publicly reveal their information as a petty and juvenile act of "revenge"?
I really don't know, I don't read fine print.
Could be argued as libel. Especially in this case where a persons information was posted and things said about her to not be true. No class. Take it down.
-
update: apparently Karen is an innocent mother of Justin "the flipper"
also they've tried to order twice since we canceled their order
Take her info off this forum then. Again. No Class.
-
Got one. Bad form for posting her info on here. No class.

i'm not sure why anyone would pay that much more when the RSD version is already pretty thick. this release in general is just kind of questionable. i bought it, spun it, and i don't know if i will ever feel the need to play it again. not all that great
I agree. Wish it had the full album. A best of Deftones live Double LP or 4x LP would have been better IMO.
-
Agreed. I'm all for the standard black. The super limited variants are so it sells out quick to the collectors and flippers. You are right on with that.

It'd be nice if labels did more like dine alone and keep variants changing while maintaining a constant black.
I like that.

I had a band play at my wedding. Ok we are getting off topic. If you are waiting on money ask a board member to buy you one? Credit card? Also one set up at home, other at work. I'm not a silver spoon kid either. I agree with you that this whole flipper madness and high record prices is lame don't get me wrong. I just came on here to post I liked the new jacket better. It's a matte finish and the other has a slight gloss. Hopefully Spartan presses more for what I think is a clear enough demand. Best of luck to you getting one.

You didn't read my early post. I own two copies of a few records I really like, this being one. Not for variant but to have two. Two record players, two different paces to listen to records. Makes it easier to have two don't you think? You assumed I was a variant collector. I clarified.
Selling 100 records from my collection to raise money for the family - some "white whales"
in Sale/Trade/Wants

Well..... I haven't logged on here for years!
I am selling a bunch of records from my collection. Our family needs the money. These were purchased with the intent to keep starting in 2003 when I began collecting. Not a flipper. These were all gently played on a high quality turntable and maybe only 1-3 total listens and maybe none. I have about 100 listed here that I can part with. If you need specific questions about a record please message me. Thanks!
