Got the Christmas colors Hurry and the Harm, and gotta say, I'm disappointed. Terrible pressing, unfortunately. Green record's warped, Red record's got depressed grooves on the first two songs on side one, and on first song of side two, so there's blasts of static-like noise whenever it's quiet. Just contacted Kings Road about doing an exchange; haven't heard back yet, but their site already lists the Christmas pressing as sold-out, so I bet I'm out of luck.

My LP 2 (I think it's the green one) is pretty warped too. It doesn't affect the sound, but I'm a little worried it may harm my stylus with how severe the warp is.

Is it possible to pick up an order from Dine Alone in Toronto? Being able to save on shipping from Maple Music was awesome.

Intervals is an amazing instrumental metal band from Toronto. 

I picked this up from HMV last night, I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been more comments on how good the vinyl sounds. I'm always worried when I buy a record that it may not sound too great due to mastering (Stray From The Path - Rising Sun, I'm looking at you).

 

This is one of the best sounding records I have ever heard.

Are there any better shipping options for Canadians than ordering from Kings Road? It said it will cost $16 to ship 3 7"'s. Is it possible to pick up an order in Toronto?

I haven't been paying attention to that 100+ page thread until now, and just learned about the 3 covers 7"'s. Is there any way to get the first 7"? Or are those gone from all stores?

I'm thinking about picking this up at a store next week. Does this come with a digital download?

I have a leopard copy. I haven't listened to it in a while, but I remember it sounding pretty good.

I hope the Black Dahlia Murder and August Burns Red have vinyl.

Would also place a pretty heavy bet that this box set was a way to repurpose overstock copies of Parallax 2.

Why else would they do a new variant for the Hypersleep Dialogues and not for Future Sequence?

This is exactly what I was thinking. But I think there is probably a ton of overstock because of how expensive this is. Somehow they found a way to raise the price and increase demand.

Why was this set $80? You can get Parallax 2 for $30 online (which is still too expensive for a record), so this means that Hypersleep is $50?

 

Does anybody know if this came with something that made it better than owning the two separately?

One of the biggest upgrades I ever did was upgrading a $40 ART preamp to a $400 Pro-ject Tube Box II. When I had the $40 preamp, I was honestly going to sell the few records that I had and never listen to vinyl again. After upgrading, I never looked back. 

This happened to me once. The problem was that I bought a few used records and played them before I had the chance to clean them, and they made my stylus really dirty. Buy Last Stylus Cleaner, and hopefully it will fix the problem. If it doesn't fix it, at least you'll have a clean stylus.

After hearing the new song, I won't be going anywhere near this album. The Devil you Know was pretty awesome, but I'm not feeling the new song. 

 

Although, besides the Ozzy era Sabbath albums, I don't really like much that Ozzy has done besides a few songs.

Yesterday, I put a splatter in the cart for a second just to look at it, then I removed it. I can't afford this right now by any means, but I just wanted that moment seeing it in the cart. It was glorious.

 

I can't afford it right now either, but if I missed out I would regret it for a very long time. 

I think that this will probably be the highest quality music set that I will ever own. So excited.

Do most people put the needle on the record and then turn on the turntable? Or do you start spinning and drop the needle on while in motion. I always drop it while in motion, but I've never really thought about it until I saw a video the other day of someone placing the needle down, then turning on the turntable.

I've had an iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4S, and a 5. A few months ago I switched to a Galaxy S3, and I love it. There are definitely tradeoffs between choosing Android vs iPhone, but for me there are more things I like about the S3 than the iPhone. 

My favourite features are definitely expandable memory, and much much better battery life. I don't think I could go back to the tiny screen of an iPhone.

 

Unless Apple makes some drastic changes in the next little while, I will not be buying another iPhone.

It's shit like this that makes it so hard to justify continuing to buy vinyl. $50 for a record and 3 7"'s? No thanks.

i'm getting tired of checking this thread 3 times a day for the last 1.5 month...would be nice to finally see a date and a price...

 

I agree. Every morning when I wake up, I hope that today is the day that there will be more info. Then I check this this site on my phone all day checking for an update.
