Definitely not a coincidence. That's the only way I got my one order from when I was naive back in the day.

Obviously my sarcasm didn't completely translate haha, I have no doubt the claim led to the cassette being sent...  even still, I was surprised at that, as I'd thought OT had sort of ceased operations.

  2. For what it's worth, my copy of Fog Lake's "Dragonchaser" cassette showed up today.   Within the last two weeks I had finally opened up a paypal claim, expecting nothing to come of it and for a refund to eventually be sent, but it appears (or it's a complete coincidence) to have had some effect.

It's a white cassette (rather than black as stated on the website) and numbered 19/100 (rather than the initial 150 claimed by OT).

  3. I've had confirmation from Vinyl Films via email that the white with red/green swirl copy of the Mark Kozelek Sings Christmas Carols LP that I picked up is just a variant towards the opaque end of the spectrum on the promo copies, not a unique edition.

They also confirmed that all of this recently released backstock is emptied archive material coming from the label into the indie retail stores.

Melody Supreme posted on Instagram that they have some of the following...

Perils From The Sea (blue/grey), Live From Union Chapel (black), Admiral Fell Promises (black), Kozelek Sings Christmas Carols (red). Go get em...

My copy of Perils from the Sea arrived today and ended up being one of the promo clear with blue/grey swirl (as I'd suspected)--  just a head's up for anyone that ordered one from Melody Supreme, discogs lists them as limited to only 300.

  5. Speaking of promo versions, anyone ever seen one of these?  I thought the "Sings Christmas Carols" promos were supposed to be clear with red/green swirl, but this one is opaque white with red/green swirl?  I don't see anything listed on discogs...

Should say too, this is one of the "recently made available" copies...  just curious if it's a new edition or part of that promo 300.

At her Nashville show now. They have the 7" for sale unbundled but only selling 10 per show like Sufjan last year. Go early! Also stand alone blue vinyl.

Plenty of blue vinyl last night in Cincinnati and the 7" was still available well after the show (nothing to indicate there were only 10 copies)...

  7. Kind of a bummer that this went straight from early pre-order status to being sold out with no updates from the label.  I totally would have grabbed one, but like others I'm assuming, I was waiting for some more concrete info.  Guess I'll wait for the black vinyl set this fall...  seems a little suspicious that 2000 of these would have sold out on white vinyl?

  8. Reposting this here in case anyone in the US is still looking for one of these at a non-discogs price:

Wow, my login stuff still works. Been a long time.

I help run a small shop in Champaign, IL - https://www.facebook.com/exilemainst

Some VC friends said y'all were hunting Lush and some others. We have copies of that, and Heady Nuggs, Jazz Dispensery, Grateful Dead, CCR, and several others still remaining. We don't have an online store, but we do tons of phone sales and would be happy to sell you this stuff at non-Discogs prices. Jeff, the owner, is at the shop today. Call and ask for him (217-398-6246) and he'll get you squared away. He can tell you what's still on the shelf, too, if you're hunting other items.

Gone for sure, that I remember: Phish/Star Wars/RTJ/Death Cab/my mind is fucking blank after this weekend.

Anyway, hopefully a few people from here recognize and can vouch for the shop, just in case anyone is leery about calling in an order. I figure the FB page make it credible enough, but I get it. Alternately, you could message the FB page and Jeff might be down to let you PayPal instead.

100% backed.  Mike (suicidekills) has helped me out, via another message board, with RSD items I was hunting for a number of years now.  The staff at Exile are always friendly, helpful, and absolutely credible.  Give them a call to support a great store and the good people running it.

  10. A.  I wouldn't expect a reply from this seller.  My discogs invoice remains 'open' (they've never bothered to cancel the order) and they never replied to any of my messages asking for further information...

    B.  The j-card on original copies is printed on what I'd describe as heavy cardstock.
