  1. I just moved into my own place, so the insurance is in my name, I cant remember if I got accidental or not, but I'll look over my policy. I think I'll get over it and evetually decide I want to keep them, scratches are punk, right? when I'm rich I might try to collect them on ebay. Well, not that rich, but richer.
  2. I thought you guys would enjoy this story cause I'm absolutely fuming right now. I am in the process of moving, and I don't drive so my parents have been helping me move. Anyway, I said that I wanted to move my vinyl collection myself to make sure it was ok. I brought my albums over last week no worries, but tonight I got home to see singles strewn across my bed, covered in dirt and grass and a lot of them out of their cases. I asked my sister what was going on, and apparently my mum decided to bring them over for me and dropped them when she got out of the car. She seems to have mainly dropped my nofx seven inch club records, a bunch are scratched, chipped on the edges and basically stuffed now. Also a few against me singles and stuff but nothing else as "rare" was wrecked. I am really angry and upset cause there were also the coloured editions and I had kept them very safely, most had only been listened to once or twice to copy to tape. I have insurance and I specified money towards my record collection, but I dont know if it would cover dropping records in the street So what should I do? I'm angry cause I dont usually keep records mint but I do keep them very well and these were something I wanted to keep as a set, its upsetting cause I cant replace them, the chips are on the edges so they may still be listenable, is anyone sure? How much would I be up for to replace them, also. I kinda feel like selling them off on ebay for nothing and just getting them out of my sight. I am probably just having a hissy fit but I cant help but feel really sad/angry about the whole situation.
  3. So geek = aspergers syndrome sufferer pretty much?
  4. limbeck/mcs split. Not that rare but, two of my favourite bands. plus its signed on both side by each band, so I have that memory of meeting both bands on separate occasions and bringing the little 7" along. Honestly I have some rarer/more impressive vinyl than that but I cold sell all of it and not really be bothered as long as I got to keep that one.
  5. I remember seeing it on three separate occasions at a record store in Melb. Now I think about it and wonder why the hell I didnt buy it.
  6. Mine has a long way to go, I hope the little (big) guys makes it. And that customs doesnt think I'm shipping in goods to sell or something.
  7. I used to win a lot of drawing competitions when I was younger. I dont win stuff very often, last thing I won was 2 tickets to see king of kong at a advanced preview. Oh, I won prizes for sending stuff into magazines back in the day, too. Like poetry and letters of the month and stuff.
  8. They go down a lot though, and a lot of features dont work sometimes. Plus its a paid service, you'd want it to be better. I've had an account there for years, I dont use it much anymore though, its a bit overwhelming sometimes. But yeah, it beats a lot of stuff out there.
  9. I stole a bunch of vinyl from my parents when I got a turntable, including Harvest by Neil Young which has since been water damaged I bought a bunch of records for a dollar each from an op shop (thrift store?) one was country songs about truckers, there was a classical album done all on synthesizer and some album for a movie that had the cars, cheap trick, the ramones and jimi hendrix on it. Can't even remember what the movie was, i know I've never actually seen it though.
