Do it! There is a scratch on the A side that causes lighter tics for most of the side (shouldn't be very distracting to most people), but I can't stand more than barely audible surface noise, so I'm selling. Otherwise, it's really nice.

I have a Technics 1200 and I got the M97xe about a year ago and I think it sounds good and was definitely inexpensive enough. I've read the 440mla is good and possibly better for playing rock records, but I haven't heard it.

So the other day I bought what I think is an original stereo US pressing of Sgt. Pepper. Nothing super special. It plays totally normally until I get to "Good Morning, Good Morning". The intro of the song plays fine, but when the verse starts, the right speaker cuts out almost entirely. I can still hear crackle and a ghostly-faint echo of the stuff that's supposed to be coming out of the right speaker, so it's missing like half the recording. Has anyone encountered this before? There doesn't appear to be anything physically wrong with the record, and when "Sgt Pepper (reprise)" comes on, the right speaker plays normally. Also - if it is a pressing mistake or something, does that make it worth 10 kajillion $$$$ because it's a Beatles record?

I will still buy this. Fuck labels not re-pressing/re-issuing good records that are in demand.

I don't think I ever spent more than $20 for a single LP, but I have a couple 3LP sets that were $25. I can't make myself spend more than that.

I just got the Titan 4xLP box for Christmas, and I'm really pleased. The Boys LP is by far my favorite of the 4 discs, but they're all pretty good. I thought Gems were the weakest group who got their own side, but it's still a solid listen. This is my first Numero release, and all the praise they get is certainly warranted - it's an excellent set. I'm really excited for the Lou Ragland box coming in March, and also for the two power pop compilations coming later in the year. Did anyone get the Boddie box? How is that? Also, if anyone got the Titan set and wants to sell their Boys 10", let me know...my set didn't come with it.

Hey Mike! Glad to hear the new 7 is getting out soon. 2012 is gonna be the year of Brick Mower, it looks like. I'm doing well - Snow What has a ton of new songs, but no new recordings yet. I started to try to make some more tapes for you a couple months ago but my boombox is shot and I can't dub tapes anymore. But - we are definitely doing that split 7" with Brick Mower, and we will have at least 1 proper LP out next year. I hope we will get our crap together and play some shows next year, too. How are things with you?
