  1. Good Mourning. Church and Destroy (original Crimson title).
  2. Ordered! Thanks, found out about it here even before the newsletter went out.
  3. Thanks for the tips. I'll try that last one when Chicago stops being Hoth.
  4. I was curious if it is possible to fix some records that I have that are a little wonky. First up: I have two albums that have the center hole cut too small. Does anyone have any suggestions of a way to fix that? And I cannot return them, I bought them a while ago and my window for that has lapsed. Also, I have a couple that I bought from touring bands that are pretty warped. They play okay, but is there anything I can do about those, like leave a book on them, or would that make it worse? Sorry if these are silly questions, but I didn't know where else to ask. Thank you for your time.
  5. Speaking of them being friends: apparently Seabrook is supposed to be in Wisniewski's wedding this summer. Wonder how that's going to play out now.
  6. Number 3 was my first one, so it is my favorite. Although, I probably spent the most time with THUG/THUG II/American Waste because my friend and I felt it necessary to get drunk and get 100% completion on those games. And this was before the phenomenon of achievements... Also, American Wasteland had a devilock as a hairstyle, so it gets bonus points there.
  7. While we're on the subject of Vapid bands, anyone else have thoughts about Noise by Numbers? I love them just as much as the Methadones. Yeah, Whatever... hasn't left my car since I bought it and I saw them rockit at the Hey Mercedes reunion show. Come to think about it, I just realized I have had hit the cycle for Danny Vapid bands this year. Riverdales, Methadones, Noise by Numbers, and Screeching Weasel.
  8. I would also be inclined to choose the self-titled compilation to be my favorite, but as far as albums proper, Maybe I'll Catch Fire.
  9. Got a 180g Dude Ranch and a Green Bay Packers Enema of the State repress. Seriously, that thing look hilarious.
  10. What, no Warren Moon? I thought that would have been the most obvious one.
  11. I just hope that the title of the new record is another pun a la From Here to Infirmary, Good Mourning, Church and Destroy (Crimson's working title), and Agony & Irony. While I think Agony & Irony is the weakest of their oeuvre, "Love Love, Kiss Kiss," may be in my top five Alkaline Trio songs.
  12. Boss news. Thanks for the heads up. EDIT: Wait, trumpet?! I am equal parts excited and terrified.
  13. Does the Dethalbum II vinyl have any bonus tracks? Not that it will sway my decision to get it; just curious. I hope to get it in a physical store. I ordered the first one from Williams Street's online store and it was an ordeal. It came in a padded envelope with no reinforcement. Needless to say, it was bent and warped as all get out. I thought it was pretty understandable because I ordered some DVDs too, so I saw it as a simple mistake. I called them and they quickly sent a new one. It arrived in the same style envelope! I called a second time and tried to explain that you cannot send vinyl this way, and the simplest solution would to just cram some cardboard in there. The customer service people said it was a miscommunication with their warehouse and they would make sure it would be sent properly. I was apprehensive when I received the third shipment. Their packaging consisted of a flattened cardboard box with tape wrapped around it, with the sides open. There were also exposed parts in between the flaps. Surprisingly, the record and jacket were undamaged in their slapdash packaging. While it is doubtful I will order vinyl from Williams Street again, I must say that their customer service is the nicest with whom I have ever spoken. On the first call, the woman was almost flirty. When I spoke with the manager, we talked for ten minutes about collecting vinyl. So if you need those Murderface socks or Venture Bros. magnets, I recommend their services.
