  1. good question, haha. we haven't really talked much about this. there really should be though! not really sure, to be honest... i'd recommend emailing the label directly: [email protected] TSR are pretty cool. I got a random refund the other day for shipping from an order without realising I was owed anything. exactly. our store's not set up very well and we have limited options for shipping so we need to charge the most it *potentially* could be just to cover our asses. we regularly refund people the difference after shipping the order. i'm sure a lot of people on this board could attest to that. if shipping to canada is $5.00 and we charge you $9.00, expect a paypal refund of the difference shortly thereafter. i know it's kind of a shitty way of going about it, but that's what we have to work with for now until we can update our store. as far as the e!e! pre-order goes, the band hasn't finished recording yet so we've pushed things back some. nothing major, but i think you'll be waiting on this one for a bit if you want to order them together. yes. we'll also be down there selling everything in our catalog at the flea market. if anyone ever has any label-related questions for seth or i, we set up a formspring: http://www.formspring.me/topshelfrecords. we generally answer any questions on there within the hour. thanks!
  2. really? can you PM me what the code was so I can look into it? Thanks! And thanks to everyone in general for the support!
  3. everything's either shipped or being shipped this week! thanks for all the orders everyone!
  4. Thanks, everyone! Yeah! Thanks! We totally have other stuff available from My Heart To Joy, Defeater, Rooftops, etc. Save on shipping and get some extra stuff kicked in with it.
  5. We at Topshelf are thrilled to announce that we'll be releasing A Forest of Polarity, the debut album from Bellingham, Washington's Rooftops on vinyl. Pre-orders for the album will go up April 1st (heh, no joke) with copies hitting store shelves around the globe on May 18th. Rooftops take its brand of intricate math pop and layer it generously with acoustic guitars, horns, strings and percussion. The resulting arrangements create an impressive sound uniting math rock and post rock into something bold, new and exciting. The band adds vocals to the mix only sparingly but at brilliantly timed intervals for maximum effect. It is the bold, unbridled enthusiasm of math rock harnessed only by the restraints and subtle nuances of post rock. A Forest of Polarity is the sound of two becoming one. Can you hear it? The band is streaming songs from A Forest of Polarity on its Myspace page. Additionally, you can download an mp3 for the song "Raft Easily" here. Beginning next Friday, Rooftops will embark on a month-long trek across the US with good friends The Americas. 6. We've just re-pressed "Travels" - 100 white, 700 black. Dig it: http://www.tsr-store.com
  7. This record is indeed sold out. There are under 20 (ish) available through various distros, but otherwise, it's completely out of print. HOWEVER! Ourselves and the band want to repress it. So, we are really excited to announce that we've started a Kickstarter campaign (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/topshelfrecords/repress-defeaters-travels-on-vinyl) to raise funds to repress Defeater's Travels on vinyl. With the record having been sold out on vinyl for some time now, the band having upcoming tours in the works and ourselves and B9 having financial obligations in other areas at the moment, going this route seems to make the most sense. For those of you that are unfamiliar with Kickstarter, it's basically a service that allows for communal funding of projects. There is a minimum financial goal that must be met within a certain time period for the project to succeed. We've set a goal of $1,200.00 by Midnight on December 31, 2009. This means that at the time of my writing this, we have 41 days to raise $1,200.00. That's where you come in. We've assembled some awesome package deals for this including exclusive vinyl colors, test presses, Defeater's new EP Lost Ground and even a healthy chunk of our back catalog and other assorted merch including My Heart to Joy and Pianos Become The Teeth. So, head on over and pledge your support. You'll help us and the band repress the album and score some awesome deals in the process. OH, and PLEASE, spread the word and tell your friends! If you know someone who'd be interested in this, please, please help spread the word. Retweets (@topshelfrecords), Facebook or Myspace status updates, a mention on your blog, etc. Anything's super appreciated. SO, to sum this all up: You can help us repress it here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/topshelfrecords/repress-defeaters-travels-on-vinyl Thanks for your time, interest and support.
