After reading this thread I was thinking a lot about everything we went through with our cat, the bengal and her transition. I thought to myself I should touch base with the Ontario Canada bengal rescue society and see if there is anyway we could help since we have had great success with our cat and now know a lot about bengals. After speaking to the girl, I just found out that 80% of the rescue cats in Ontario each year are coming from the guy I bought my cat off He is no longer running the cattery, but man I am disgusted. Glad to see there are other animal lovers out here in the VC world that appreciate and care for their animals

I posted about this in another thread but I thought I would start one since we have managed to get our hands on the colored, 1st pressing, limited to 200 version. What kind of cat is that? She is soo cute!! The catnip is a great idea When I got my bengal cat it was a VERY similar situation. She was locked in a cage and lived with 30 other cats!! she came from a kennel. Sad and disgusting!! The guy ALSO had a dog who barked at her a lot. She is still a very nervous animal but with some patience and LOTS of research we managed to get her pretty integrated. I did the whole thing where I just let her hide. She literally spent a week under the bed!! I do agree that some cats will just adjust on their own, however suggest after some time you work towards picking her up and moving her a wee bit away from her spot as well as interacting with her in her spot. After some time it wont hurt to pick her up once a day for example and see how she reacts to it. BUT like I said - after some time and you will know if you get to this point when it is the right time to do this.. The second she is uncomfortable let her run back to her space and back off. Sometimes cats do need a bit of a push if this goes on for a while. It also helps them build trust by you letting them run back to their spot. Or if she is playful try luring her out of her spot with a toy. Bengals are very playful so that was an easy way for us to get her out of her spot..but I do know not all cats are like this. ALSO, here are a few products you can try to help if the catnip doesnt work FELIWAY! its a bit pricey but I swear it works and lasts quite a while. It is the pheromone of the mother cat. If you spray a couch with it or a bed (wont stain and you wont smell it) then put the cat on the thing you sprayed, they should be relaxed and will likely stay in that spot for a some time. It may be good to just spray the room with it as well. Check it out on the web! Bach's Rescue Remedy is also a good product, but may be difficult to administer if you don't have experience giving animals drops. If you do have experience, its a safe and homeopathic medicine that calms them. You put a few drops on their tongue and viola. Great for car rides and so on. And this sounds crazy, but it works...music or TV for nervous animals helps. Reason being is if they are scared every little noise might upset them. When I moved to an old house my cat would jump at every creek the floor made! The music or TV makes background noise and drains out all those sounds that scare them. So play your kitty some of that awesome vinyl HAHA!

All our other copies are black vinyl but have a green cover. This must be a super rare fluke. Congrats on scoring a first pressing and a colored version at that!

Ok, so I was told that this is not delayed due to manufacturing issues. I think the time frame here is because it has to ship from the manufacturer, to the label to the stores.. so as long as what I am told is true these should start shipping from the label early next week and us / other stores shortly after. To clarify, there is NO more manufacturing delays. please don't panic!!! Although I do know you have all been patiently waiting and we are grateful for it
