  1. And if that fails, sell it on eBay or Discogs as a one-of-a-kind.
  2. Naaaah, stores want to sell as much RSD inventory as possible; those Gorillaz book editions and all 9,856 variants of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard will take up extra rack-space alone. You'd be doing them a favour by pushing them to sell you that elusive Wombats.
  3. FWIW, this pre-order has been up for many months, as these two were initially (and ambiguously) scheduled for late Dec, early Jan release.
  4. 14 ICED BEARS - 14 ICED BEARS 2LP THIS ITEM IS AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER FOR 26 MAY RELEASE DATE Limited edition double album pressed on colour vinyl. Gatefold sleeve, printed inners. Original album plus 12 track bonus LP including all tracks from their first three singles The 14 Iced Bears were formed within a vibrant indie scene in Brighton in 1985 by Robert Sekula and drummer Nick Emery, with a punky, DIY pop ethic that held melody as key and technical expertise as less of an issue . They wrote catchy pop songs, recorded with a ramshackle charm that reflected their passion for sixties garage and psychedelia. Inspired by bands like The Byrds, and Velvet Underground this set them apart from their C86 contemporaries. They were spotted at their first gig by-ex Television Personalities bassist Mark Flunder, he decided that he wanted to put out a 14 Iced Bears single on the fledgling Frank Records and Inside, was released in late 1986. On hearing it, legendary BBC 1 Radio 1 DJ John Peel booked them in for a session. His enthusiasm was evident. He made it one of his sessions of the year and praised each track in turn after playing it. ,Balloon Song was featured in the session and the single version which fronted the bands second single, The Importance of Being Frank EP further consolidated their following. The band toured England and Europe and the press was ecstatic. The late 80s revival of classic guitar-based pop was kind to the 'Bears, and Sekula's talent at penning catchy, twisted melodies earned them a coveted spot as one of the best of the lot. A third single sealed the deal, the raucous Come Get Me on the seminal indie label Sarah Records. The band went on the release their self-titled debut album in 1988; it was a masterpiece of psychedelic pop that turned a lot of heads with it's ambition and skilled songcraft. The album betrayed the influence of sixties psychedelia on the group and became a hit on US college radio LP1 TAKE IT HOLLAND TRAIN SONG MOTHS HAY FEVER FLORENCE SPANGLE DUST REMAINS CUT SURFACER LP2 COME GET ME SURE TO SEE UNHAPPY DAYS IF I SAID MILES AWAY BALLOON SONG TRAIN SONG (Different Version) LIKE A DOLPHIN LIE TO CHOOSE BLUE SUIT CUT (Different Version) INSIDE 14 ICED BEARS - WONDER 2LP THIS ITEM IS AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER FOR 26 MAY RELEASE DATE Limited edition double album pressed on colour vinyl. Gatefold sleeve, printed inners. Includes 9 track bonus disc that contains tracks from the "World I Love EP" , "Mother Sleep EP" and "Hold On EP" 14 Iced Bears second album "Wonder" was Originally released in 1991, by now they were listening more to The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, Big Star and the 13th Floor Elevators and they had strayed even further from their early indie-pop origins towards spaced out soundscapes, their sound had become notably more psychedelic, with the band drawing deeper on their 60s influences, while still retaining the feel for melody present in their previous work. The subsequent EP "Hold On/"Summer Nights"/"In The Morning" was to be the band's last release but they went on to support Sterling Morrison and Mo Tucker from the Velvet Underground and Big Star's Alex Chilton on his 1992 solo tour. 14 Iced Bears called it a day at the end of 1992 after Robert Sekula moved back to London, Thereafter their cult status grew, fuelled by CD retrospectives from Overground, Slumberland and Cherry Red. Culminating in 2010 when the band reformed and toured the US. 5. Out of curiosity did you get any Bowie Cracked Actor and how long did they last?
  6. Rotate had it for 35CAD. I only bought it cuz I only bought one other thing from them and could budget a crazy expense like that.
  7. Called it! They should do a 2xLP with the two b-sides, the Black Session live cuts and whatever unreleased/demo tracks they find to fill that second lp up.
  8. Is 19 USD a good price for those Colleen LPs? I'm paying an extra 19 USD for shipping all three, so...
  9. Sorry if anyone's posted this seller already: https://www.discogs.com/seller/SatelliteRecordsKzoo/profile That Asians in the Garage comp. is there since people were asking. Any leads on Cracked Actor at a reasonable price anyone? Or do we wait for Picadilly, Juno, etc. next weekend?
  10. Thanks, thread: Bought Rising Tide from 1234Go for 44.2?USD shipping incl. to Canada which is as reasonable a price I'll get. I hope if they press a regular edition it's black vinyl so that I can rationalize that expense a bit better
  11. I don't know why I do this to myself. Walk in 15 minutes after opening, everyone has a Cracked Actor in their hand and not a single copy left. Wait fucking half an hour to check out the way overpriced Field Music and one out of seemingly every other copy of Luna - Penthouse Deluxe. SDRE did not even ship to Canada (I phoned another store for confirmation). Frustrating waste of fucking time.
  12. 8 messages, all of which ended in what amounts to "Whoopsie! *shrug* If you know the other person like a friend maybe we can do something but you're SOOL otherwise" after being a member for a month, not a few days. Not really comparable. Also not interested in excuses; more revenue means paying for more code-monkeys and server capacity if they care about customer service. No excuses to sit back, count money, and have disgruntled new subscribers.
  13. I'm mad that I couldn't find the widget on the webpage in the first place, but also that when they emailed me a link/code as a fix-around, that fix-around is busted. They've failed twice and it seems new users are shut-out from the referral process to begin with.
  14. Re-read the second paragraphs, guys. It's right there. Why would an anon on here trust my word about what they said versus clicking on someone else's referral link? Why bother? Really not that hard to figure out what most people would do given those options. Also, "until the issue is resolved" is wishful thinking pulled from thin air. I don't see how furnishing a working link is too much to ask.
  15. So not only does my referral link not work, when I asked them for help, this is what I get: " I've contacted our tech people about this and they can't do anything about it yet. If you have you friend sign up now I will manually give credits to both of you. That's the best I can offer right now sorry to say. We've had plenty of issues the past 24 hours and I'm sorry this is apart of the aftermath" Because there aren't 5000 other users with working referral links/codes in this forum alone. They're never getting my money again and I'm already foregoingoing buying anything from their store. And I subscribed for Demon Days last month for the first time. Moral of the story: Referrals only work for veteran users. I'm in Canada; I need the referral codes because I don't get cheap/free shipping and the cost is already much more expensive. FUBAR. Might as well edit my signature and remove the link.
  16. Yup, same thing with Cocteau Twins. That band didn't even know of their two represses; strong indication they're not getting their meagre cut. Always side with artists; the ones who make pennies on the dollar for record sales in the best of circumstances.
