I should mention that 'home' was FL to see my family for the holidays.

I got tickets at the normal price. Took a DC2NY bus, then traipsed around Manhattan with 30lbs of luggage and got on the wrong A-train (long story), made the show by 10 minutes, checked my luggage, watched the show, lugged... luggage up to Jazz on the Park, then flew home the next day after battling busses, LaGuardia, and Spirit airlines. Worth it, though.
