I've had shitty luck with splatter and colored vinyl variants.  Static tends to be terrible, at least with my set up.  Since I was just buying them to play I decided years ago to stick with black.  Save a couple bucks in most cases and easier to get.

I usually prefer standard black vinyl but damn that looks nice.

In case anyone here is interested, they just announced that Terry Brown (the guy that produced a big chunk of the classic Rush records) will be handling the remix, so it shouldn't suck.

Has anyone else bought the Transparent Red / Blue repress?

I've been through three copies from Amazon and all three were warped to the point that they wouldn't play.

OG copies of both of these EPs are spendy so the represses are most-welcome.  Came out about $27 each with shipping.  Mammatus Clouds sells for $300+ when you can find it so this is a deal.

I've been squeamish about ordering Badakhshan since it was rather spendy, especially with shipping from AUS or the EU.  25% off takes the edge off.  Ordering directly from the band's Bandcamp worked out cheaper even after shipping from AUS.  Hopefully it arrives in my lifetime and in decent shape.  My luck with shipping from AUS has been not so great.

After a second email I finally got a response from AK.  They say they're shipping my replacement copy today.  We'll see.
