Bought a CD and inside was a little mail order sheet from No Idea Records. It was 1999 and I was 14 and gave my mom some cash and she cut a check for me. A few weeks later "Less Than Jake -- Losers, Kings and Things We Don't Understand LP" and "Less Than Jake -- Mixology Of Tom Collins 5" arrived at the door. Took me until 2005 to finally play the 5" since all I had was a all in one fully automatic table and it couldn't play that close to the spindle without kicking it back thinking the LP or 7" was over.

This about sums up how NY is split. Pic stolen from the net.
I consider myself Upstate NY and Central NY since both apply.

I want to play this.. I just don't want to $60 play it.
Agreed. I'll get it 3 months from now on steam for 15 bucks.

Even in my short time year, since 2010, it has changed drastically. I used to be able to hear about pre-orders well in advance, but now it's all elevator rock and top 40 pop talk. I just skim the Equipment and Everything Else section for amusement these days. But every once and a while some good info will pop up so for that I keep coming back.

Don't even bother looking for a dollar bin record to trace. Trace your old slipmat.
I used a cork mat for a while and that's exactly how I made it.

Last weekend Steam did a free weekend for COD: Ghosts. Played it casually during the free period. What a train wreck, re-installed MW2 and while avoiding massive cheaters, hackers and modders I'm having a absolute blast again.
Keep this thread updated on the South Park game, I'm very curious about that one.

HA! Cat's are awesome!

Oldest I got are 2 from 1963:
Beach Boys -- Surfin' USA
The Ventures -- Let's Go

As long as it's the trashed beyond playability thrift store junk I'm A-OK with it, get that crap out of circulation.

Duke Nukem 3D. Yea it's 18 years old but it's just as good today as it was back in 96. Played a good portion of Saints Row 4, but got bored around the half way point and stopped playing. Kinda disappointing considering how much I liked the 3rd.

Led Zeppelin. Never have never will. Not once have I said, "you know what? I could really go for some Zeppelin right now".
My wife on the other hand looooooves them.
Totally agree. For the longest time I could tolerate the instrumental jams or ones with minimal Plant since he's what kills the band for me, but now even the music just makes me want to change the channel. I just don't get it.

This guy is so 2012, looks like he's trying to get his 15 minutes back. I forgot all about him until this thread, thanks.

This caught me off guard today. Been selling old shirts on ebay over the past couple months and when shipping they all were either 3.09 or 3.19, then I throw tracking on it. Shipped one out today for PA, I'm in NY, and it was 3.58.

I got almost as many profile views as posts, that just ain't right.

Woa, really digging the stream. Gonna have to pick this up. Love this band! Probably seen them live a dozen times over the years. They were always stopping here during their tours doing our kick ass ska scene.

Good lord no clue. I got around 1200 records, a lot are from used bins so 1-5 bucks or so a piece, but easily 500 or so were brand new and we all know how overpriced most of those are. Been a 14 year collection process so at least it's been spread out.
I have a spreadsheet, but nothing about prices.

Get the Bioshock DLC.
I'm stingy when it comes to games, I'll grab it on a steam sale. It's been sitting in the wishlist for a while.

Ever since beating Bioshock Infinite on Sunday I've been unable to get into anything else. Game was just too good. So I dusted off GTA 3 and been reliving in the nostalgia while actually making progress.

Just finished Bioshock Infinite earlier today. Simply amazing!!!

Bioshock Infinite. Picked this up on a steam sale while I was immersed in Skyrim so it sat until yesterday. I'm only a couple hours in and it's amazing!!

Fuck yeah.
Damn right!!

Well after 4 days of playing, thanks 2 days off in a row, I beat torchlight 1. I got to the infinite part and said eh I'm good. Enjoyed the regular game a lot though. Next on the chopping block is Dirt 2, that will be beaten very shortly, already got like 16 hours in it but it's been spread out over months. Really enjoying Dirt 2, played the 3rd first and was dissapointed, Gymkhana ruined that one, not to mention the god awful menu layout, but that's neither here nor there since gameplay is all that matters. Same with Torchlight, I played the 2nd one first and enjoyed the shit out of it, but in the end I feel 1 was the better game.
I'm still banging out these 4 year old games since I was on a big gaming hiatus for a while and built a computer early 2013 and been picking up some gems I missed which is easy with the steam sales. Not sure what to start next, I'm thinking Bioshock Infinite. That's been waiting in the wings for a while since I grabbed it during a steam sale.

What the hell happened in here?!?!
Started reading a little and said fuck this.
Been rocking out to Torchlight 1 lately. Had the past 2 days off from work and logged a embarrassing amount of time in it. Already played the second one, but picked up #1 a ways back during the Steam Autumn sale. Enjoying this one far more than the second.

Well, that was the worst thing I've ever heard. Waiting for the live video to really showcase her vocal abilities. Seriously the auto-tune computer must have overheated on this one.
Glad there are lyrics posted, couldn't understand any of them.
