This is all awesome - thanks, all. Is there anything else in the Wicker Park area worth checking out? I wanted to try both Handlebar and Kitchen 17 so I’m glad they are both around good record stores.

There’s tons and tons of shops, bars, and restaurants there. Right across from Reckless is Emporium, which is a fun barcade. You’ll def find a lot of stuff walking down Milwaukee Ave.

  2. I usually spend a lot of time in Wicker Park when I'm visiting, so the Reckless Records in Wicker Park is always a must. I was actually there last week for like 20 mins and spent $125 easily on used hardcore records. I've only been to the Lakeview location once, but found some excellent stuff there, too. Bric a Brac is a cool eclectic store, too. I think the only other place I've been to that's still open is Shuga... the prices there were craaazy.

Interesting. I’ve been noticing they’ve had some new represses on Bandcamp but now this. They’ve got some stuff that probably has some pent up demand like Little Big League now that Japanese Breakfast is taking off.

Not sure how they’ll help new bands though.

Little Big League are a part of Michelle’s book, which is going to be a movie now… so that’ll be interesting.

I love Alex G.  But the hype over a live album is mind boggling to me.

I mean hell, one came with the deluxe edition of Beach Music

There’s a Live at Third Man, too! It’s like always at the record store for $15!

I signed up for email notifications when this new one came back in stock and nabbed one last week when I got the email. So lucky, that never usually never works out for me.

  5. Saw MSPAINT and Blind Equation in a practice space my bands used to practice at. So good.

I saw the Weezer tour a few weeks ago and was floored but the setlist. Truly so so good.

Was in Detroit and caught Spiritual Cramp at Third Man Records. Rocked ass.

The 10 year anni shows I’ve been to this year (Jar and Youth) have been PACKED and everyone has been so fucking hyped. Sucks some of these bands have to resort to playing their big albums to consistently sellout shows but I’m glad they’re getting some money and recognition now.

I think Superheaven specifically caught on with people while they were on hiatus. Their streaming numbers are stupid big now! But I don’t think I ever remember Superheaven even being headliners or a band people really celebrated. It’s super cool to see them lean into being appreciated now.
