  1. I've got some Death Cab and Decemberists....check my for sale list here: http://sportsworldvideo.com/pushingvinyl/
  2. I have Joy Division, MM Moon.. and MM Good News... All are 1st pressings.
  3. Hah! Sure...Vox Wah>Milk Box Comp>DOD Overdrive>Ibanez TS9>Russian Big Muff>Boss Flanger BF-2>EH Worm>EH Holy Grail>EH #1 Echo>an old Digitech GNX1.
  4. Because I'm not an audiofool, I mean audiofile. I'm perfectly fine with my system, probably because I've lost 50% of my hearing going to insanely loud concerts over the last 35 years. I bet if I played my low-end turntable next to your waste of money high-end table, then blindfolded you, put you in a closet, crammed pencils in your ears and hit over the head with a bat, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference either.
  5. Sorry, man. Like I said - two small kids. Anyway, shot you a PM. Thanks for checking.
  6. Hitting eBay around August 10th. If you're interesting in getting daily updates on whats being listed, let me know, will be setting up on FB and twitter. I'll put links at www.pushingvinyl.blogspot.com real soon. Stay tuned.
  7. Hey, thanks for the heads-up. I thought I recalled ebay charging fees based on final sale price, not starting price. I appreciate the tip. I only planned on higher starting prices for the newer stuff, the oop items from the 90's and 00's.
  8. After fielding a few messages let me add this... I have no set prices really. The plan was to put everything up on eBay but I thought I'd open them to offers first. If it's anything from the '90s or '00's that's out of print, you'd really have to wow me with an offer. If it's a common LP, easily available in your local record store used bin, I'd really be open to anything reasonable. If you are looking for a real score, I'd advise you to wait until I list them on eBay as the those rare oop LPs from the last 15 years or so will have a starting bid of what I paid retail - which in most cases was between $12 and $30. Good luck and thanks for checking! Spread the word!
  9. I recently have decided to unload my entire LP collection amassed over the last 40 years. I am currently considering all serious offers for individual (or multiple) LPs prior to listing everything on eBay. Check www.pushingvinyl.blogspot.com for details. Follow links to the LP database, general info, as well as my eBay sellers page where you can check feedback from prior auctions. Feel free to hit me up with questions or any further details you may need. I can't believe I'm actually selling my fucking collection! Anyway, got everything from British Invasion to Soul to Old School Punk to Indie and just about everything in between. Even some cheesy Pop stuff (just a few!) for those that like to spin the goo for their cheesy friends. Check it out when you have a spare few hours - did I mention it's a big collection?
  10. This. There's a version of Electro-Shock Blues on blue wax I'd kill to own. I believe it's a double 10". I'm selling off my entire collection of LPs (over 2500) and I have Electro-Shock Blues (and almost all others) available for purchase. I'm taking offers before they all hit eBay in August. I'll consider all serious offers. See it at www.pushingvinyl.blogspot.com
  11. Almost everything from Eels has been pressed on vinyl. Beautiful Freak is the hardest to find. Stay away from eBay sellers out of Japan as most of that is counterfeit. Everything except for the Blinking Lights box and the Transmissions, Hombre and End Times LPs is out of print. And the new album TOMORROW MORNING comes out on vinyl August 24.
  12. I sometimes go record shopping on my lunch break and have to leave the records in the car until I get home. I always put the records in the trunk where it's nice and dark - it gets warm in there but nowhere near as hot as it gets inside the car. The other day it was sunny and 90+ degrees outside, I had three records in the trunk for six hours and they were fine when I got home.
  13. No, the center of the rubber turntable mat is a shiny silver. But now that I look at it, I see how you were mistaken. That sure would be cool, though, if it could.
  14. I guess "exile" was too strong of a word. My wife loves music, we just have other priorities in life now. And, trust me, the situation changes greatly when you have a couple of kids running around the house. For you single folks, spare rooms become play rooms or additional bedrooms. Judging by my other married w/ kids friends, I'm blessed to have a wife that has given me even just a little space of my own. The basement door is my escape hatch.

  16. I actually have a 7.1 system, you can't see them all but there are satellites in each corner of the room, two book shelf speakers on the 5X5, a center channel speaker above my work station and a sub under it.
