yeah, a custom print shop here in portland estimated almost $80 for the design. and that was with me providing the sweastshirt. maybe they'll have some new merch soon. fuck, i'll settle for the dvd!

wanna hear a funny story? so, a couple years ago, in my hometown, there used to be a bi-monthly record show. it was a massive flea-market type get-together with nothing but tables upon tables of vinyl. dirt cheap most of the time. after going for the first time and spending a ton of money on a ton of records, i decided to budget myself $20 every visit. so, upon going the next time, i found "the rising". brand new, still sealed. $20. i didn't wanna blow all of my money on one record. i was going for quantity. i figured, "hell, i will get this online for the same price". WRONG. turns out, its out of print. and i didn't buy it for $20. it is now going for hundreds. fml.

all the rvivr records are quickly becoming out of print. luckily enough for me, i own all of them, including the german import of "dirty water".

there were a few listed on ebay as of yesterday.

i know! i don't get it. the band is still making waves and they're still completely relevant. its not like they've faded into obscurity or anything. i really want a sweatshirt with a huge hourglass on the back. i was gonna have one custom made, but the going price is like $80.

this isn't a joke thread. the $250 donation goal will go straight back into the publications of issues #1 and #2. with the donation, i'd be able to do 100 copies of each. i have already self-published issue #1 before, and it set me back almost $2 an issue. so, selling copies at $2, i'd barely break even, and in fact, would lose a little bit of money. i am not asking for much, just enough to get another couple runs published in time for the symposium. some of you might not know, but a task like this is very pricey nowadays. i have no connections with anyone that work at fedex/kinkos/office depot/office max, and even "good" prices of 7 cents a page is a retarded sum of money. so, a little assistance is all i am asking for.
