  1. Some of you were helpful, no doubt. Go read the responses of those who weren't and tell me they are reasonable. I got a bad record, was called a noob and told to get a better turntable. I wouldn't have bothered with responding, but i wasn't getting my e-mails returned initially. What would you do? Sit on your hands and smile with a bad record? And the reason i put it up is i want to see what kind of offers people would give. I'm interested in collecting this, which is why i was going every few days to Hot Topic to get this. I'm not going to sell it for $15, because it's worth more to me than that. If someone wants to pay an inflated price, i can be convinced to get rid of it. Otherwise, i'm very happy holding on to these great records. Check my eBay record and call me a reseller. I'm a collector. This is the only album i've bought multiple copies. And i posted the picture because i lined it all up nicely, and used a DSLR because i thought, and still do think, it's a fucking cool looking picture. As for the guy who got screwed, that's too bad. It's happened to a lot of Hot Topic releases for me, so as much as it sucks, i'd be happy that i can still get it online from them instead of on eBay. But, again. I buy multiple copies and am proud of it, i get flamed. Douchebags encourage someone to defraud me and eBay simply to spite me, and others take up the cause. What the fuck would you call that?
  2. This is better than a soap opera. Ala Moana was the only one that had any, a friend of mine contacted Pearl Ridge and they never got any. I had gone 3 or 4 times in the last 2 weeks looking for these. Finally found them and bought them. (Along with Taking Back Sunday, Dark Side of the Moon, Flex Your Head compilation, and Ramones Mania). Singles of those before you wet yourselves again. Sickening? I think trying to defraud myself and eBay is sickening. But you vinyl queens have your own warped ethics to uphold. Apparently buying multiple copies of an album and selling them is bad: There's other resellers, have you fucked with them? Apparently complaining about getting a bad record and getting no response from the seller is justification for personal attacks. You people need to get the fuck over yourselves.
  3. Good idea. Done. Snipped, reported to eBay. This forum doesn't like that i'm selling something, so they're going to engage in fraud to hurt my eBay seller reputation?
  4. $44 isn't exorbitant, it's what USPS charges. Don't like it? Don't buy it. I got myself a great collectors item that i'm happy with, and i'm not gonna part with them because of drama queens on what is generally a drama queen message board. I've had to pay markups on many albums, so i'm not shedding any tears. This is the first album that i've bought many copies of, and it's because it looks gorgeous and i like the album. Cry about it. It's $14.99, go get it. Want it? Go get it. Sand in your vagina? Keep posting responses to me. Suggest some fraud, call me names, or just knock down my "reputation" score, it'll make you feel better!
  5. LOL, suddenly this forum has become more entertaining! I'm not expecting to sell those, but i am interested to see how much people will offer. Completed listings show them going up to $50 (so i am auto-declining that price). Unless someone wants to waste money, i'm gonna hang on to 'em and give a couple to friends. Shipping prices are for USPS flat rate boxes. Bitch about $44 to the post office. http://www.usps.com. Also, never sold vinyl before. Where's the "flipping vinyl is wrong" dude on ebay? Buy all of them, negative feedback (seller can't leave negative on a buyer), honolulu-ass up there loses money on the fees. He would have to pay me before i am charged fees. They would remove any feedback otherwise as well. You're suggesting fraud, and i'm the ass. I love this forum!
  6. that's a damn shame. i was actually feeling bad that everybody was (unjustifiably) jumping all over you because you were complaining about your Blink record. it's too bad that you're just a fucking flipper hoarding records that people really wanted. Meh, first time. I really like this album. And they were, the record was bad.
  7. My S&M Metallica is warped, but i play it. It tracks fine, so I play it. I've tried placing it under heavy items, but haven't seen or heard any difference. The needle can track a warped record, and if it's not skipping, i'm not particularly worried. But i don't play it too often.
  8. Shouting my mouth off? I think my first post is completely reasonable, and is a good description of what I got. Maybe people shouldn't be so quick to attack, and be immediately so defensive about this label.
  9. If there's no rush, so be it, but i'm just saying that Priority should be offered, and obviously the buyer would pay. I just shipped a record to RJ from mightier than sword, and i did it by Priority because media to New York would have taken a week or two. Being from Honolulu, media and parcel take a LONG time, but Priority is the same flat rate and shipping time that you pay on the mainland so it's great!
  10. I only got the second email and am in contact with RJ. It's fine, i've already shipped the record back. I did not get the first e-mail, but he's being understanding and pleasant so it's fine. People with sand in their vaginas posting things like the jizz comment are not.
  11. Yeah! When someone gets a bad record and they don't get a response it's their fault. Douchebag.
  12. Well i've tried contacting RJ, and i've tried washing. Washing failed, as the B-side is obviously bad. And i've had no response to my e-mails. I don't think i'm being unreasonable, am i? I don't collect albums to put them on display, and i expect them to sound reasonable.
  13. I expect shrinkwrap unless there's an outer sleeve. And I haven't found problems with shrink wrap. I can imagine that there is a chance that heat could cause it to bend the corners. But i have an REO Speedwagon Hi-Infidelity record that had wrap on it, and it didn't do anything to it. And that's well north of 2 decades. I regularly get new albums with bent or dented covers, so i'd rather have shrink wrap than nothing. As for shipping, USPS Priority Mail needs to be offered. I ordered a Blink 182 Dude Ranch from you, actually, and it's been 4 weeks. Priority Mail doesn't cost significantly more than parcel or media, and it should be offered.
  14. Get a better turntable, I'm a noob, and the fact that 5,000 people own it was being helpful? Trying to clean it was helpful, and I've done that. Unfortunately, Side B is bad. I'm just frustrated for having waited so long and not being able to play it is all. Hopefully this gets resolved soon.
  15. Yeah, that's me. I cleaned the album, but that didn't offer any help. I gave the album a full listen through. Side A sounds great, no problems. Side B is static and skips. I thought this forum would be the best place to bring this topic up, and thanks to those of you who have been pleasant. The rest of you queens need to chill the fuck out. I'd figure an issue of record fidelity would find some understanding here, instead of just whiny attacks. I contacted RJ again, hopefully i can get a good copy of this album. I was quite excited for it, and it's a real let down to listen to what i have.
  16. Yeah, that crossed my mind. But, really, this was opened for the first time, and placed directly on my turntable. Should a brand new record, straight from the factory, need cleaning? Forgive me if i'm being a noob, but i have never experienced that.
  17. The number of people who own it is irrelevant, as my copy is crap. My other records sound great on my turntable for what it's worth. What's with all this defensiveness? I got a bad record, I wanted to see what the rest of you got. Relax.
  18. Hey folks, I'm sure you're familiar with Mightier than Sword, and their Blink-182 reissues. I just received my Enema of the State (yellow/green) that i ordered from them. 3 week shipping would be fine with me, if the record was of a decent quality. It was packaged well, but the cover was dented regardless, i imagine from the factory. There is a light static hum present while listening (at least the first few tracks, i gave up), and some kind of smudge causing skipping on the first track. There are also small artifacts present in the vinyl in various places. Am i missing something? Are these not intended to be listened to and simply collectors items? Because this is some poor quality. Another board I am on suggested it could be Pirate's Press who manufactured these, as they don't have a very good reputation. Thoughts?
