I don't think that's true. There definitely aren't a lot of all french schools around here, but there are quite a few with french immersion programs, such as my school. You take most of your classes in French (Science, History, ect.) in French, and then classes like Math and English in English, for obvious reasons. There's actually more French School than you would think in the GTA! My spouse is a teacher in a French District (not immersion...it's 100% French from grade 1 to 12). And believe me, there's a lot of them! (but don't get me wrong, there's WAY more English districts!) The bigger issue is that there's not enough teachers around here that actually can teach in French! So they'll often go recruit in New-Brunswick or Quebec. (that's how we got here...we're both from NB).
