did anyone go to the zodiac show in brooklyn last night? going to the jersey city show tonight and want to know what the set list / merch lineup is looking like.
-
got mine in today, too. this is a thing of beauty. deathwish and sdf are a dream team of punk.

Granted anymore a new band I find out will be a Capn Jazz tribute band and be hailed as masters. Am I getting old and just don't get it anymore??? Sad songs sung by T Kash about love, loss, and booze are where ill stay.
art imitates life imitates art imitates life. or something. but yea, the world keeps spinning and i keep getting older.

We got more copies: http://www.melodysup...lan-road-vinyl/
cool. thanks, guys. with trucker hats???

You're more than welcome to sell your pre-order to me... then you won't have to be burdened by the anticipation.
But f'real I'm so bummed I missed out on the colored vinyl. I was without a phone for TWO days and during that time three people texted me about this pre-order because they know how much I love this band.
Ah don't be so hard on yourself. Saddle Creek is doing something strange with these /3-500 limits color pressings. Even a Cursive deluxe with color vinyl /1500 used to take more than a day to sell out. I missed this and Hop Along and wasn't more than a workday late to either.

Can someone snag me a copy of this. Can PayPal ASAP. Bonus for a trucker hat. I haven't seen it anywhere. Irony is I'm seeing oldham tonight.

Anyone find these elsewhere?

He's clearly just outlining the fiscally responsible extension of THE HOBBY.

I'm in yr boat. Seriously considering unloading my black SOS to make some adult plans or pay off student debt.'59>SOS>Señor>AmSlang>Handwritten
Still haven't gotten Get Hurt. Which, if you remember how I was about this band, is saying something. Collection was broken up, and I just got disheartened. Not building it back up, and actually broke it up more. Oh well.

Shipping notification! Stoked for these.

I've never met the dude, but I imagine he curses those that refer to him as "Koz."Im not even going to go and read everyone's opinions but from little skimmings seems like there are strong difference of opinions...
I like it more than Benji (few great songs, a lot of filler)...musically this album is best he has done...vocal style I still struggle with but this is a great LP overall! Keep pumping out the jams Koz!

I listened to 2 songs. So far meh. Reminds me a lot of Perils which I reallllly didn't like (despite a wholehearted attempt to). I dunno, it's like he gave up on vocal melody and went for rhythm, but it certainly isn't hip hop.

Could be persuaded to sell junkies. spraypainted hevy fest edition.

Ya know, I was super bummed out when Minus The Bear put out Planet Of Ice and when Modern Life Is War put out Midnight in America and the first time I heard Float On on the radio. People change, so do their inspirations and motivations, and along with it goes their music. It's just a different direction for Mark. And yea, dude is making a hobby out of turning out as many limited releases as possible in a year. What're you gonna do?

Also looking for a share. Can someone pm?

I really wanted to like Happy Hollow. I liked the themes and I didn't mind the strings to horns. I just didn't find the album that good overall. Mama had some very good songs, but the rest are very forgettable.
I think mama, I'm swollen was cursive's best lp since domestica. Take that for unpopular opinion. I wasn't so into the consecutive small town themes of help wanted nights / happy hollow, though both have some great tracks. Bust and bloom ftw!
-
interesting, i feel like 'album of the year' is a lot more accessible than cursive.
i agree, and back when kasher was going one-for-one with cursive / good life records, i think that was true for the good life as a whole. after happy hollows / help wanted nights, both projects found a lot of common ground in my opinion. kasher is a storyteller, and that comes through in all of his projects. i have high hopes for this record after some lackluster tim kasher (solo) releases.

GUHHHHHH i am bummed i missed the deluxe. i didn't get a minute to check anything today and totally missed the announcement. had no idea this was even coming. dang.
this song is awesome, too. guitars are definitely reminiscent of earlier cursive. kinda reminds me of the b-sides to i am gemini. awesome direction for the good life. excited to hear the rest of the record.

Those guys are impossible -__-I tried.. No dice

Agreeeeeeeed! But I wasn't gonna be the one to say it.imo this seems a little lifeless sounding compared to the 7". Maybe I'll get more into it with repeat plays, idk.
-
Just get mockingbird wish me luck to record that last record. Please.
