No problem. Not really talking to anyone in particular...just the deluge of phoners and emailers out there eager for up to the second updates.

When the whirlwind of orders has passed, I'd really appreciate some time and understanding in taking care of my order. Despite following instructions, I've made no progress and haven't gotten a constructive response, which is a bit frustrating.

Well-Dressed is a hell of a song - maybe my favorite off the album - and it even has a bit of a "finale" feel to it... but I don't think its final moments go out with as much of a bang as Sister Cities' do. I can see why the context would feel off to you; almost like they attached a b-side to the end of the record. I guess that would bug me. Not being familiar with the song, though, I couldn't be more grateful that it's on there.

Totally. Look it up, though. There as a project that documented the recording and production of Sister Cities. Interesting stuff!

No hate. I love the song. It was released way prior to the band even signing to SC. It was already in the world and built its own context and identity that wasn't part of the rest of this record. I think it would have been cool to rerelease it as a 7" with a b-side maybe. I also think the record would close beautifully on track 9. Just my thoughts.

Dunno about AOTY, but definitely top 10. Would be top 5 if they left Sister Cities off.

Before we press new shit, we need to get the first 3 SKM records into some new hands.

I too just got some shipping confirmation. Seems like they missed the email about the address update. Hopefully they got the second one before they go to the post office.

I dig the track. Hope to see more from this collaboration in the future. They are doing a pub crawl on Saturday for the release of this and the related beer. I'll probably go to one of the early performances.

Ordered the orange, got the blue. No big deal but I've got a serious case of the buyer's remorse with this one. I'm listening to it now, probably won't listen to it much more after this.

I do kinda wish they left sister cities off or released it as a single. I would've preferred this been a 9 track record that ended before sister cities. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that song. It just feels like it was dropped on the end as an after thought.

Yup. I refuse to pay over $50 for a single album. Even if I love it. If I have to pay a ridiculous amount for an album, then it doesn't need to be in my collection.

Everyone needs to relax. Kozelek releases usually have a window of reasonable accessibility after initial hype dies down and before they disappear forever.

The "get a receipt" part was a joke. Of course it's ridiculous. People just get super hyped about getting things on RSD that they spend way more and people feel entitled to ask for a premium because they're "doing someone a favor." By virtue, when you ask for a convenience tax, the favor is no longer a favor. don't do that.  this dude should leave the second boxset at the store for someone to buy or sell it at cost here, not "with a little extra because i have to use my credit card."  if you're gonna do someone a favor, do them a favor or don't.  you won't get charged interest if you pay your bill before the statement posts.

That said you may want to take some time and make sure paypal has your correct shipping info. Sort of a good idea all around. No reason to have a bad address floating out there.

Man I know. I tried. PayPal doesn't let you change an address after the fact. There was no freak out intended. I goofed. But I thank you for taking care of thangs. No canceling either.

 

Update:  The address paypal chose to ship it to isn't even an address that is active on my account.  Not sure how it's still in there.  

 

Update 2: Upon further research, the address problem has nothing to do with paypal.  Paypal takes the address from Primary Address field of 1-2-3-4 Go's store.  I tried before I ordered and again now to delete old addresses and update them, and it just isn't cooperative.  So anyway, you have mail.  Thanks!

This is what kinda worried me. Shortly after I ordered, I needed to change the address, so I called and I got "100's of orders, so just send an email and it should be taken care of". Kinda wanted to cancel so I could be 100 % that it goes to right place but did not see any where to cancel. Hopefully it does and won't take forever. I get that there's 100's of orders, but no reason for waxwork shipping times.

I had to do the same. Actually, the address on file is correct, but my paypal address was out of date and I accidentally hit pay without updating it. Hopefully they ship it from the address on the web store and not PayPal. Or they read their email. Fingers crossed.
