  2. man i want this. anyone know how ltd the red Weapon 7" is?
  3. Pinkerton > maladroit that leatherface album is pretty awesome too
  4. haha girl thingy whats pregnant dog about?
  5. Early Beatles > Late Beatles Good one, hopefully you got a hell of a deal too?
  6. i hate the sound of that cassette adapter. I'd rather listen to tapes in my mom's car than to my mp3 player through the adapter. Good thing my car has a cd player though. I only have NOFX tapes
  7. yeah. I'll still buy cd-only stuff if I really want it, but if I have a choice it's vinyl all the way Unless it's NOFX. Then it's both, and tape if they're available too... because i'm a nerd.
  8. Which brings back to exactly what I said... delete people's lists that contain only cd's. I agree downloading music has brought me to spend thousands on music-related stuff (before I started downloading I owned 10 cd's) but it's not a good thing to let people trade CD-R's for the same reason it would suck to have lots of sendspace topics with people sharing music. CDs are fun because they are convenient, but they are totally worthless from a collector's point of view. Sure some of them are VERY rare but still. I have 200-300 cd's and I tell myself, why the hell did I spend so much on this crap when I could've gotten it on wax and upload the mp3's on my mp3 player. I could always have burnt a copy for the car without even remotely feeling guilty because I own the record. Bleh. The worst thing with cds is when you wanna get rid of them you won't even get 1/4 of what you paid.
  9. for a long time you couldn't tho... it's a fairly new option on record nerd. Also that wasn't the only point. Poeple use recordnerd to trade CD-R's which apart from being f-ucking lame is dumb as hell (and we don't wanna support stealing music don't we?)
  10. For anyone who was wondering about the 7" Of The Month Club from NOFX I just updated the NOFX Wiki with all the latest information we found and the latest conclusions we came to. http://www.nofxwiki.net/w/7%22_Of_The_Month_Club You have links on there to each record of the month, etc.
  11. np, enjoy the record ! Not only does it rock but it also looks absoutely beautiful with the silk-screened b-side.
  12. Also it's Fat Wreck CHORDS and not Fat Wreck Records If you pronunce it right Wreck Chords = Records
  13. haha good one, that picture is everywhere tho
  14. It's not an LP cover, but the US cd cover for Coral Fang from The Distillers is AWESOME. Everyone knows what the regular copy of the CD/LP looks like, the chick on the cross... for the US release since the cover was banned they used a bright yellow thing with animals and cute stuff.. Such irony, sarcasm and all... I love it.
  15. I wonder if NOFX could do that with Mystic... Did those bands own the rights to their material or did Lookout did? I think Mystic owns the right of everything pre-1987 on NOFX that's why they keep repressing the same old shit to make some $$
  16. That picture shocked the collector in me, conoley. aaa!
  17. Though the fat news said an exciting new project on vinyl was gonna happen this year... for us nerds. CD or LP this retrospective thing will be fun
  18. man i want nice shelves and stuff to display my records. I dont have any space for the moment so they're in nice LP/7" boxes. Cardboard sadly, I should order the plastic ones from bagsunlimited... robotnerd, where are your 7"?
  19. Bedouin Soundclash all 3 albums Streetlight Manifesto - Everything Goes Numb Yesterday's Ring - 11 Chansons Pour Faire Pleurer Les Morts-Vivants Issue Sixteen - ...And Starring etcetcetc. Matchbook Romance - Voices 10" EP for NOFX's Never Trust A Hippy 7" EP for NOFX's Bottles To The Ground Naked N' Happy - We Strongly Failed
  20. I like Fat-type punk rock, fast and melodic a lot... It's mostly what I collect on vinyl, as well as all the decent quebecker bands I like (Sainte Catherines, Yesterday's Ring, Fifth Hour Hero, Malajube, Planet Smashers, etc.) I love folk rock when it's not american.. Early Beatles, some alt.rock. Ska but it mostly has to be fast skapunk and not reggae. Mostly I go by bands and by feeling more than by genre. I like Infected Mushroom but I dislike most Trance/Psych. I like Children of Bodom/Nightwish but I dislike most metal. I like Issue Sixteen but any other kind of very emoish music gets on my nerves. What I cannot listen to is people screaming/growling or unstructured music / chaotic stuff without melodies or with very hidden melodies. Best exemple that comes to mind of what would make me wanna kill myself or other people if I listened to it all the time is The Blood Brothers live. I kept away from their studio stuff after that horrible experience so I can't judge it, but I saw them live once and U-G-H. Share? I respect everyone's music tastes and I expect people to respect mine
  21. Dude do you have a clear blue This Sinking Ship or marbled blue? I'd be totally interested in a trade for a clear blue one
  22. I prefer sandwiching the LP's between 2 thick cardboard pieces larger than the record itself, taping everything but no tape on the records, just taping both cardboard pieces together with the record inside and put all of that in a large bubble mailer, fits just right. Might not be easy to recycle but at least the LP(s) is(are) definitely safe like that.

  24. conoley, nope sadly. I think I can find a copy of Back From El Rancho EP on black wax w/ a silkscreened b-side, dunno which variation tho, there's green serigraphy, gold and silver. I think I saw one for CAD$9.99 near work the other day, it might have been sold though. On another note I have an extra copy of The Sainte Catherines - The Machine Gets Under Way on clear brown wax limited to 549 if I remember correctly.
