  1. I buy it because I stopped buying physical CDs a long time ago. Its so easy to just pirate music. Only time I'd buy the CD/Album is if I really loved the artist and wanted to support them. I just felt like buying the music off iTunes kind of sucked because you never got something physical from it. I started collecting in December of 2010, and the whole package is just better. you actually get to appreciate the artwork that someone spent a long time developing. I mean, you really can't appreciate complex artwork on 5 square inches. At least with LPs, you get a 12 x 12 Sleeve, and a physical medium. It feels more "worth it" to me. and on top of that i get to support my favorite artists. I always listen to albums from start to finish anyway, so this is like the perfect medium.
  2. Damn, that place is only like 25 minutes away from house. might have to check it out if i have money. and wow, you live like two towns over too. im from freeport haha.
  3. It's just a really nice looking color. Not quite as nice as coke-bottle blue, but still pretty nice. Yeah, Coke bottle blue would have been nicer just because it went better with the album art, but I picked the clear cause it fits better with the artwork. I got my original black copy from interpunk for 9 bucks. Also picked up a copy of Brand New's Daisy with it for 30 ppd
  4. Oh wow... I just called paypal, and then while i was on the phone with them, i got an email from RJ saying my order was reversed for the full amount.. LEGIT

  6. who knew that hats were even "pressed" guess who bought the other hat too?
  7. wow. you have some fucking awesome stuff there.
  8. Random Question. Would you guys be interested in a website kind of like eBay, except exclusively for vinyl? Main reason I want to do this, is that i feel eBay is seriously over charging for their services, and severely under delivering. They almost ALWAYS side with the buyer and don't take important things into account [buyer history, seller history, actual facts, and proof of purchases, generally have shit customer service, etc..], and seriously double dip with the fees (paypal gets a cut, and eBay gets a cut as well, despite being the same company). Anyway, one of my friends is a pretty talented programmer, and I had an idea of why not making an auction website, solely for vinyl . That way, when searching, we dont find like a thrice CD or a dumb brand new car decal, when looking for a record. I also have a whole bunch of ideas to make it a better buying experience in general. For example, when searching for a brand new record, sometimes you'll see a listing for a thrice record, cause the seller made this the auction name "ALEXISONFIRE CRISIS PIC DISK THRICE BRAND NEW DALLAS GREEN CITY AND COLOUR". And as annoying as those things can be, in a sense they can also useful, because I remember once I was looking for a a record, and saw a different one [with one of those titles] at a pretty good price, so i purchased it. So in order to solve this i had the idea of including a related band function, where you can pick up to 5 bands, that your artist sounds similar to. That way when searching, you don't have an overly obnoxious title, but someone looking for a minus the bear record, might also find a different record from a band they like. Price wise, I'd say something fair would be to charge 99¢ for the listing, which you only pay if it sells. For people that want to sell more than 10 records a month, I was thinking of maybe charging for a yearly, or monthly subscription. Thoughts, or any kind of feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  9. Anyone want to let this go now? I'd be willing to trade a copy of the HT pressing + some cash.
  10. there will be more tickets..the show is at irving plaza. No way in hell are they going to have a show there for just 93 people. lol
  11. So what happens if this never comes out? Can i bet a dollar on never? lol
  12. You can have good movies aimed at kids. Toy Story is a fantastic movie for kids, but with something for everyone. Hunger Games fakes being badass and sucks as a movie no matter who its geared towards. Toy Story develops characters... Buzz is all over the place, as is Woody. The Hunger Games is supposed to be more elaborate, and EVERY character was static. You're completely right. I read the whole series and when watching the movie i just thought to myself that people are not going to like it. None of the characters were fleshed out, at all. --- That said, fuck RJ.
  13. I know. Trust me. But at least i get bragging rights :| Chances are if it was fitted they wouldn't have made it in my size..I have a big ass head. Size 8
  14. I posted about it in the everything else message board. me and my brother got one. Shit was 70 dollars shipped though -__-
  15. http://www.glassjaw.com/1993.html I broke down and did it. $70 dollars shipped...don't do it. lol
  16. Is it possible to make the jacket like the original pressing? It'd be cool if you did an extra 1,000 on tan, and did like 2,000 2X LP's with the original pressing vinyl. i just really want that original cover without having to pay $100+ bucks.
  17. FUCK YES! it shipped! for those who want some hope, my order went through @ 2:28pm #W8350867 also, some people might not be getting in, and getting an error when they try to load the page. That happened to me when I used firefox, but not when I used chrome, so maybe try that?
  18. auto-checked -_____- where those that shipped already on auto check??
  19. My favorite part is the shipping... I display the postage to USA for $ 4 by regulation of ebay, but, actually, cost $ 8. (Please pay $ 8. It is not $ 4.) Because the postage from Japan takes $ 8 at least.
