FINALLY, pre-orders for Nujabes "Modal Soul" have begun to spring up. It's a 2xLP set scheduled to release on the 26th of February. Price is ¥3,960 (before shipping) so will probably end up being a little under $50 after shippingHaven't looked at other shops but there are listings up at these sites:

  2. Mexican Summer is launching an extensive reissue series called Ariel Archives focusing on the material that Ariel Pink has recorded. The first of four installments will include reissues of two of Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti albums, 1999’s Underground and 2002’s Loverboy, and a compilation of outtakes and non-album tracks called Odditties Sodomies Vol. 2.

1st installment is available for pre-order on vinyl or digital. In addition, the Kitchen Club Vinyl bundle offers exclusive and limited color editions of each of the ten albums being issued in four cycles over the course of 2019 and 2020.

I enjoyed the VMP article on Tyler Childers and LOVE his new album, so I sent an email suggesting VMP pursue a release of it. They emailed back a few minutes later and indicated they passed it along to their music curation team. The indie exclusive version of this is super hard to find (1000 total pressed) and is going for a lot on the bay already. I'd encourage anyone who digs his music to send a request!

Great album. Just emailed them. Hopefully this gets done as that indie exclusive is very difficult to find at retail.

    Order here: https://www.beatink.com/products/detail.php?product_id=10294

I found if you register first, it's easier to order after, as when I tried to check out as guest it didn't accept my address, but it did when I registered no problem. Bit pricey to ship to the states. Comes to $46 and some change. Pretty good compilation of their early EP's and tracks though. Cool cover with the OBI strip too.

Doesn't seem to accept any of my credit cards. Was this an issue for anyone else? Don't want to resort to a Japanese purchase and shipping service.

You can listen to the album on Spotify.  I pre-ordered through Bullmoose and then listened to the album and then cancelled :/

Thanks. I didn't the see the whole album at first over at spotify, only a single track under my search for 'Ghost of the Forest'. I see it now under Trey Anastasio. Will give it a listen.

I'm not sure when this happened, but it looks like Secretly Canadian has quietly repressed all 3 Richard Swift albums, and also put up a preorder for the Ground Trouble Jaw & Walt Wolfman EPs combined on one 12". This stuff was all out of print and went for $30+ regularly, so these are much-needed reissues.

Thanks for the heads up on these. Can't believe he's gone...

  7. It's been 10 years since the release of Cotton Jones' classic "Paranoid Cocoon". To celebrate, Suicide Squeeze is repressing the long out of print and highly sought after LP.  Initial repress was limited to 1,000 copies (500 - 180G orange & 500 - 180G black). Orange looks to be sold out already. Don't sleep on this folks!
