ha. not planning on paying $200 for a living with lions show. a guy on absolutepunk said he's pretty sure that, in ny, you can get an enhanced driver's license at a branch, keep your receipt, and drive across the border that day. heard of this?

I'm a new WA resident and I want to go to a show in Vancouver, BC on 7/9. Today is 6/24. What's the fastest way to get a passport, passport card, enhanced driver's license, or some certification to get across? Are there any temporary ways? Keep in mind I currently have an Indiana driver's license.

yeah just got one at the local store and it sounds beautiful. how about that cooky 80s sounding song?!

I nearly had a physical reaction when I first heard it. The rest of the album is great, but to end it with such an absurd 80s Phil Collins ballad-esque track kind of killed it for me. Whenever I'm listening to the record, I make sure to rush over and stop it before I even hear the opening seconds of that song, otherwise I just get irritated.

Maybe I'm overreacting, but has anyone just really hated that song?

to be honest, i think it's kind of cool. i don't like 80s stuff at all, but i think vernon did it well. although i do think it's a novelty song. idk, i'm sure the diehard hipsters will cream over it, but who knows.

FINALLY GOT IT IN! i got grey, and for those wondering about color, it is, in fact, the "duller" marble on the baby blue/grey split that guy posted earlier. it's really beautiful.

People waiting on Maroon MOB lps, we were only sent half of what we ordered for those for some reason and it took a bit to figure it out with the plant but enough copies to fill past orders are currently on their way to us.

I'm with you. One of the biggest bands alive and there are only 100 vinyl copies to go around. Something doesn't add up unless they are doing a bigger press than 100. I mean if you can sell 500 which they can, why not press 500. I may be way off base.

I think what it was was that it wasn't the matter of being able to sell a lot, they just had left over jackets and decided to use them for another pressing

this guy's right. both of these were done solely because of extra jackets (well, and obviously that they will sell). however, originally rj said that he had only 60 s/t gatefold jackets left "so it wouldn't make sense to repress that few." must have found some more.

Its mostly stuff Ive asked labels about before and didnt get anywhere with. This thread was a good reminder to go back and bug the labels some more.

either way, a label selling them for $150 buy it now is fucked up. i don't care if they have licensing rights, found old ones, or repressed it secretly. doesn't change the shadiness.
