I've had my moments of wanting to stop with the variant collecting. 20 years down the road am I going to care if I have every piece of vinyl he's released? Who knows. I've been a fan for almost 10 years now, so... probably yes. I guess it could be worse but having things like VIP exclusive variants feels like a bit of a slap in the face to those of us who are crazy enough to try and get our hands on everything. I guess it comes down to money (doesn't it always?). If I was smart I would have stopped collecting variants when those red and green "Christmas" releases came out.

We all know the new record is going to have at least half a dozen variants over time so I'm throwing out a couple of (fun) requests.. based on the cover, I think the record should be pressed on clear vinyl, the standard black, maybe a white and clear swirl or a black and white swirl, all white, or something totally unexpected like a hot pink. What do you guys think? Maybe Justin could drop a couple hints... hehe.

I love it. I'm not as concerned about the new album as I was when I first heard Fragile Bird. I hated that song the first 10 or so listens through. But OSAT seems more like BMYL material than LH so that's good because LH isn't my favourite.. 2008 Dallas > 2012 Dallas #truth

It won't be tough to get. People will buy 5+ of the cheapest tickets, add the vinyl and then stick them up on eBay for $100 each. It always happens, especially with show exclusives. The only people who will win are the ones who put these on eBay. If you don't care what version you get, you wait until DA puts out a $7 one. But for us variant collectors these types of things are an absolute nightmare.

So, does that mean the VIP vinyl is the same as the ticket add-on vinyl? Hmm..
