I'm not a fan of the Canadian Tour poster. Got it yesterday, unrolled it at lunch to flatten it out and the thing stinks. Like, actually smells bad. Guess it's the ink. Got home after work and my whole apartment stunk. Rolled it back up and threw it in my closet. Nothing can compete with the Myspace Secret Show Chicago 09 red plaid poster I have framed. Also - stoked C&C tonight.

Damn, that 10" is sexy.

I was shocked when I placed my order and saw how much the vinyl bundle was going to be, then even more shocked at the $20 shipping (because they don't ship the poster and vinyl together) Even the $50 ticket price seemed high. I remember seeing Dallas years ago for $20! He needs to stop being so popular haha. Ah well, thankfully I only have one musical obsession and after all these years Dallas is still worth every penny I've spent.

Wow, these tour records have sold so badly! Was apparently originally gna be outta 1100, but with only 50 sold in Europe, 150 in USA and 150 in Canada, that's only 350, not even a third of what they anticipated!! Truthfully, I think what put off a lot of people was the cost. And the fact that to get the vinyl, you had to buy the poster. I don't know about Europe and the US, but all together (with shipping) the bundle cost about $65-70, more than the tickets cost ($50ish). I don't even want the poster.

A friend just got his poster and vinyl bundle... looks like the purple is only out of 150, not 700.

Just got a shipping notification that my vinyl bundle has shipped. Said it was supposed to get here on the 17th, but was updated to the 30th?! Not sure if it's the poster or the purple 10" but I'll post pictures whenever it arrives.

Right! Haha. I've given up on the collection as a whole, but I'd still like to have one of the 10"s and one of the tour Little Hell copies, but I'm not gonna pay a shit ton. Haha. I haven't been a fan quite as long, but for four year or so. I've got my favorite variant of BMYL (clear), and the blue/yellow Sometimes, but I'd like to swap out my black Little Hell at some point. The BMYL clear is my favourite too of the variants. Couldn't find it in Canada, but a friend in the UK bought it for me as a present. Though I love the Tegan and Sara split as well because the live version of Sleeping Sickness was the first time Gord and Dallas sang it live together (at the Calgary Folk Fest). I flew from Vancouver to Calgary and a friend flew from Toronto to Calgary - just to see it! I didn't realize it was that version until I finally got the split, so it made it even more special. But really, I love all my C&C/AOF records haha. (sorry to ramble).
